It was a 1-for-1 trade between Vincent Jackson and Laveranues... A trade happened this afternoon in one of my leagues that looks incredibly suspicious. It was a 1-for-1 trade between Vincent Jackson and Laveranues Coles. The guy who traded Jackson has been eliminated from playoff contention and has the worst record in the league. The guy who got Jackson is fighting for one of three playoffs spots against three other teams, and is the commissioner of the league (who only can veto trades). Is this possibly a form of collusion here, or is there some reason why a team would rather have Coles instead of Jackson?

In the end, I don't have much of a reason to be mad about this either way. I've already played and beaten him once in the regular season, and wouldn't play him until the championship game of the playoffs. I've already got a playoff spot locked up and am just playing for a seed at this point (top 2 seeds get a first-round bye). I'm also all for letting trades happen, even unbalanced ones. There's nothing I can do about it even if it is unfair. I'm in last place and I want to look for a young RB/WR who is going to possibly prosper in the future. I only see 2 RBs who might be the franchise players that are free agents and they are Beanie Wells and Jamaal Charles. Not so sure about charles but wells is suppose to be the rb of the future for arizona so could he be worth a keep over Ronnie Brown, Thomas Jones, Fred Jackson, and hightower.

WRs: i only really see pierre garcon.

Last year I kept Ronnie Brown, Donovan McNabb, and Steve Smith. Obviously this all depends on what happens during the rest of this year and the off season but I want to get ahead of the game and get players to help me get back to the top next year. This is my 4th year playing in this league and I came in 3rd the first year, 11th the 2nd year, 2nd the 3rd year, and this year looks to be last place so maybe next year i'll win!

I have high hopes for Fred Jackson also. I see him possibly getting traded away to a team in need of a rb after this season since the bills have Lynch like maybe KC, Cle, or NE could use young talent.

Pt system in my league goes like this: 20 rushing/receiving yds=1pt tds=6pts for all except rushing and receiving tds that are long which can get 7,8, or 9 pts depending on how long they actually are.

I'll be at 6-4 after tonight, good enough for 3rd place all alone, a couple teams are 1 or 1.5 (with a tie) behind me.

I'm lookin pretty good with Peyton as my QB, Wayne, Welker, and V. Jackson as my WR's (also have Cotchery and Crabtree as backups), MJD as one RB... then I've been bouncing back and forth with Bradshaw (NYG) and J. Stewart (CAR) as my 2nd RB.

The owner with 2nd best record in the league (6-3-1) is struggling with Cutler at QB. I have Palmer collecting dust on my bench... waiting/hoping for the perfect time to fleece someone in desperate need.

So this guy is offering me Matt Forte and Joe Flacco for Carson Palmer and Ahmad Bradshaw.

I'm tempted, because Forte is the #1 back, while Stewart and Bradshaw are decent, but are both #2 backs. However, Forte is way down this year running, but decent receiving.

My biggest sticking point is the playoffs. Obviously Indy is going to be doing their annual fantasy-killing move, resting their stars when it matters most to us owners. So should I keep Palmer for those last couple weeks, and keep platooning my 2nd RB based on opponent? Or will having Forte and the rest of my guys make up for possibly having Flacco at QB for the playoffs?

As a follow-up question... this other owner also has Ray Rice, that he's been reluctant to part with... is asking for Rice-for-Palmer straight up a fair deal? I have the leverage here, seeing as he needs a QB much worse than I need a RB.
