Default Rodgers or Brady

Ok so I am in a keeper fanatsy football league and we are allowed to keep 3 players.

The guys that I have considered keeping are Forte, LT, Lynch, Evans, Rodgers, and Brady.

I have decided that I am definitley keeping Forte and LT but I have a tough decision to make at QB.

Rodgers was a great pickup for me last year and really saved my season. He is also projected to be one of the better QB's in the league this year (it least from a fantasy football point of view). Brady is coming off of a major knee injury but he is still Brady and what he did with that Offense in 2007 was scary. But he still is coming back from a big injury and even though he is a great player his 2007 numbers were off the charts and were not something he does consistantly. But then again he never had a WR like Moss before and Welker plays the slot real well.

Here are the Offensive settings for my league.

Offense League Value
Passing Yards: 4 yards per point
Passing Touchdowns: 10 points
Rushing Yards 2 yards per point
Rushing Touchdowns 10 points
Reception Yards 2 yards per point
Reception Touchdowns 10 points

I think i'm goign to go with Rodgers. My reasons are not only did he put up good passing stats in his first season as a starter but he actually picks up a few points for me on the ground as well. But I would love to hear anyone else's opinion on who I should take.

hmm very tough call here...i think i would go with rodgers as well just because he has the young talent around him...what will happen in NE when Moss is out? and as u said, he gets u points on the ground...that being said, its tough to pick rodgers over brady lol!

I'm a Packer fan and I would have a tough time picking Rodgers over Brady. I do see your arguments for Rodgers getting you points in the running game though, and plus Rodgers is younger and had more BIG fantasy seasons ahead of him.

SO I answer your question like this, for the current year I think Brady is the better QB, but for future years Rodgers is the better keeper, sorry that really didn;t help much i am guessing

Since its a keeper league I would go with Rodgers. And its not like you're gonna go wrong with rodgers this year anyway.

Yeah i think i'm set on Rodgers. Another thing I should say though is that my team won the championship with Brady in 07 but with Rodgers last season we went 7-7 and missed out on the playoffs.

But I can attribute that to a lot of other things. Brady had an incredible year in 07. One of the best a QB has ever had. I lost Burress last season and Evans didnt have a good fantasy year. So I didnt get good production out of my WR's.

Rodgers can't be blamed for your record last year. He was really good fantasy wise. Rodgers is a little bit more of a sure thing this year because of Brady's injury. Brady's knee injury was pretty bad last year, so he may not do as well at the begining of the year. Plus Brady's line isn't as good as it used to be.

With that said I do believe that Brady will end up being a top 5 quarterback this year and he does have more up side than Rodgers. Rodgers will be also be a top 5 with a few less questions.
