Default Cotton Bowl and BCS?

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls0...ory?id=3172508

The Cotton Bowl is trying to get invited to the BCS. With the retractable roof being added to Texas Stadium, it'd be a inside game and you wouldn't have to worry about any cold or bad weather, the same going for the other BCS games. The BCS probably won't add them, but adding the Cotton Bowl would take away having 2 BCS games in one city if they'd keep this model, or advance to the plus one, which I'm a proponent of.

This isn't Texas Stadium they're referring to. Jerry Jones is moving Dallas from Irving to Arlington -- Dallas suburbs -- and is building a $1 billion facility. Arlington already has the 2012 Super Bowl lined up and it was a foregone conclusion the Cotton Bowl would move to the new building as well. So will the Red River Shootout -- the annual matchup featuring Oklahoma vs. Texas.

The Cotton Bowl lies in a run down part of Dallas and the city has voted down legislation to fix the facility several times. I went to a Cotton Bowl to watch Alabama and Texas Tech play two years ago. I wasn't impressed at all. Every thing is very outdated. Jerry Jones is going to own all major football events in Texas with that new stadium.
