Neuheisel to UCLA?
Former University of Colorado and University of Washington coach Rick Neuheisel just had his second interview for the UCLA job. It appears he's probably going to get the job. Neuheisel is the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens right now and is considered a valuable quarterback's coach. That's not showing in Baltimore right now, but he's proved his ability in the past.
I'm not a Neuheisel fan because Colorado is still suffering from some of the rules he broke during his tenure. He sat in place the recruiting environment that tainted the Buffs for the past few years and he left the school after getting them placed on two years probation.
However, if he's learned his lesson, then he'd be a good pick for UCLA. The Bruins are terrible offensively. They need major improvements there and Neuheisel can do that. He's a former QB for UCLA and won the 1984 Rose Bowl.
Other candidates include Norm Chow, the Eagles' John Harbaugh and UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker, who is currently the interim head coach.
