Default Better Pro Ray Rice or Slaton?

Since watching the rutgers/WV game I've been debating this in my head. I feel ray rice's game is more suited to the pros because he doesn't rely on speed, since he's not the fastest guy. He is built like a tank, runs low, has great vision, and already handles a hell of a load. I do worry about how much of a load he already carries. Not so worried about the supposed lack of speed because there are many NFL players who didn't have the "speed" necessary to play the game. I really like his vision and decisiveness.

Slaton I love his game too. Fast, good vision, slashing type player, but I can't help but wonder if that will translate into success in the NFL. Definitely a gamebreaker, but in the NFL there's a whole boat load of fast guys where some of the moves I watched him make against rutgers just won't work. I also question his durability. I usually go with the speed guys as being better pros, but for some reason I just have this feeling that he might not have a huge impact in the NFL

Steve Slaton with his combination of speed, vision, and power.

Slaton doesn't really run with power. I can't say i remember him ever just trying to duck him head and bull over someone.

He's a little inconsistent this season. He has just 4 games with over 100 yards, but the 300 yard performance against Memphis obviously stands out. I'd call him a top 12 back or so. I've read that he's a great workout warrior though. He could be one we see fly up boards like Chris Henry did last year.

Do you think that part of it is the offense they run? They got that 24 who also looks like a good player and their QB is very athletic too... It looks like they spread the ball to those 3 players...

Anyway that guy can fly... He's got Hester type speed... Put him in an offense that gives the RB a lot of room (like DETs is supposed to do) and he could do some serious damage... I'd like to see him work catching punts and returning kicks...
