Sam Bradford
First and foremost, let me start off by saying he's a freshman.
Does this automatically take him out of the Heisman race? For goodness sake, he has almost indentical numbers to Colt Brennan.
What does everyone else think?

It shouldn't, but yes it does.

It's September. If his numbers are on pace with Brennan's in November then you'll hear the hype. 4 games into the season and OU hasn't really played anyone but Miami whom is still kind of an unknown right now.

It's hard for me to put anyone above McFadden right now anyway. I think it's going to come down to him and DeSean Jackson.
Brennan will lose votes because of the system. Brohm because Louisville is losing to teams that shouldn't come close to them. You can argue it's not his fault, but losing affects quarterbacks Heisman promise more than any other position.

McFadden would probably be my #1 but Tim Tebow is right behind him in my opinion.

There's no way McFadden wins it.
If you say Brohm can't because he's on a losing team, how do you explain McFadden? His team is also losing.
Frankly, it goes to the best player on the nation's best team. As of right now, only Booty and Tebow fit that mold.
I'm just saying though, if Bradford keeps his stats up and Oklahoma doesn't lose, it's hard to count him out.

I definitely agree with you on Bradford. Though I wouldn't give it to him over Tebow. The more I think about it, the more Tebow will debut as the top choice for my Heisman Watch. The guy is playing lights out and he's playing in the SEC.
I disagree that it can't go to a guy on a losing team. While the past history says otherwise, McFadden finished 2nd a year ago and that has to count for something.

I said Brohm won't because losses are put more heavily on quarterbacks. McFadden isn't taking blame for losses. QBs almost always will. I'm just thinking like a voter.
McFadden is the best player I watch on television every week. The Hogs could be in a 3rd and 14 and I believe they'll get the first down if McFadden gets the ball.

I stated the only players that dfit the 'best player on best team' mold is Booty or Tebow right now.

Just remember Larry Fitzgerald. Great player, subpar team, no Heisman.
