I'm actually tired of seeing this stuff because I don't think that there is a major D-IA school in the country that can claim not to use alcohol and sex to their advantage. Even if they don't do it with a straight forward approach, most programs know what their boosters, alumni and current players will show a star recruit in order to attract him to their school. I think the NCAA just picks and chooses which school it wants to attack at one time. Colorado definitely made a ton of headlines for this stuff, but again I repeat, what school doesn't it happen at? Kirk Herbstreit has talked about this before. He said that players will take recruiting visits just to take them eventhough they've already decided what school they're going to go to. They mainly take them for the parties they will be apart of and the pampering they will receive. I think there's little doubt that Ohio St. or even Wisconsin, who is voted the nation's biggest party school, probably uses sex and alcohol as a recruiting tool whether it is done intentionally or unintentionally by the coaches. Those are just two schools I'm using as examples. Like I said, I think every major D-IA school falls guilty of this. I'm not saying it's right. I actually don't encourage it all, but if the NCAA really wanted to do something about it then they should attack everyone. Not just who they wish to attack. The only reason a school will ever do a self-investigation of itself is when the NCAA is breathing down their necks. Their obviously breathing heavy down Cincy's neck right now.
