Default New 2 Round Mock

1. Houston Texans - Bush, Reggie, RB USC | Best Player in the draft, and the Texans have committed to David Carr. Bush will team well with Davis and add a little spark to a terrible team. A trade is a big possibility, perhaps with the Titans or Jets, they would then take Fuerguson.

2. New Orleans Saints - Leinart, Matt, QB USC | Bye Bye Aaron Brooks, hello most polished QB prospect in the draft. They need someone who can step in right away and thats Leinart. Young is an option as well, but he needs a year or 2 to be groomed.

3. Tennessee Titans - Young, Vincent, QB Texas | Let the grooming begin. Steve McNair has been a big brother/father figure for Vince and going to the Titans will allow him to sit a year and learn as Steve winds his career down. However, if they do trade up, look for them to take Leinart, a more polished Chow product.

4. New York Jets - Ferguson, D'Brickashaw, OT Virginia | Man, where to start with the Jets. They wish a QB will fall to them at #4, but very unlikely. They take the best OT prospect in the draft to build their line around. He will help protect whoever is the QB is as well add to their running game. If by chance they can trade up to #1, they would take Reggie and hope to bring fans to fill the seats.

5. Green Bay Packers - Williams, Mario, DE North Carolina St | The best athlete in the draft since Julius Peppers. Mario is big, physical, and fast. Teamed on the opposite side of KGB, the Pack will have a viscious 1-2 sack combo.

6. San Francisco 49ers - Hawk, A.J., OLB Ohio St. | The Niners need help everywhere but QB( and even that is debateable). They are pumped to win the coin toss against Oak, and they take the tackling machine from Ohio State to build a D around.

7. Oakland Raiders - Ngata, Haloti, DT Oregon | The Raiders are horrible. Playing in the AFC West, you have to stop the run (LT, LJ, and the Broncos' stable of backs). Run stuffing is the calling card of this mammoth man. Every now and then, Ngata can get some pressure on the QB too. A good pick here.

8. Buffalo Bills - Davis, Vernon, TE Maryland | The Bills would like to see Ngata fall to them here, but with him gone, they take Davis who was off the charts at the combine. With Moulds gone, the Bills and Losman need more targets to go with Lee Evans. Davis fits the bill.

9. Detroit Lions - Huff, Michael, S Texas | The Thorpe winner will be an instant upgrade to the Lions defensive backfield. He can play S or CB and will start right away.

10. Arizona Cardinals - Williams, DeAngelo, RB Memphis | The NCAA's all-time leading rusher. Need we say more. This guy is a complete back and may add some sort of a running game to the Cards.

11. St. Louis Rams - Williams, Jimmy, CB Virginia Tech | Yet another team who needs help in many areas. Their secondary is dreadful, and they get the big, physical, DB from Blacksburg. He can play CB and help right away. Archuleta is a FA and if he isint re-signed, Williams is big enuf to play S.

12. Cleveland Browns - Greenway, Chad, OLB Iowa | With Romeo Crennel as the coach, it makes sense a defensive player is picked here. Greenway is a hardnosed player who fits Romeo's scheme well. He could be the browns version of a younger Mike Vrabel.

13. Baltimore Ravens - White, LenDale, RB USC | Jamal Lewis is on his way out the door. Getting "Thunder" from USC gives them the same type of back. He can team with Chester Taylor early before taking over the job himself.

14. Philadelphia Eagles - Ryans, DeMeco, OLB Alabama | The Eagles are lookin to rebuild that smash mouth defense that got them to a super bowl 2 years ago. Ryans will team well with Trotter and help the D enourmously. I feel they will look at free agency to fill a WR spot, or later in the draft.

15. Atlanta Falcons - Justice, Winston, OT USC | The Falcons could use a stud OT to build around, and Justice is that.Yes their running game was amazing last year, but the line is aging, and some youth will be much needed.

16. Miami Dolphins - Cutler, Jay, QB Vanderbilt | Big, strong arm with a very quick release. He has the ability to make any throw and Miami deperatley needs someone to makes plays.

17. Minnesota Vikings - Maroney, Laurence, RB Minnesota | The Vikes have loved this guy for a long time and are happy to get him here. The quartet they have now will most likely be cut in half leaving Maroney and Moore. Mewelde is more of a 3rd down guy and they need someone who can tote the rock. Maroney is their guy.

18. Dallas Cowboys - McNeill, Marcus, OT Auburn | With age and injuries hurting the OL this year, Tuna gets an OT he can rebuild the line around. Their running game wasnt up to Tuna's standards this year, and McNeil's huge size, along with good feet help instantly.

19. San Diego Chargers - Holmes, Santonio, WR Ohio St. | McCardell is ancient, and adding a speedy guy like Holmes helps right away. Parker is no better than a #3 WR.

20. Kansas City Chiefs - Hali, Tamba, DE Penn St. | See Oaklands explination. The Chiefs D was horrid last year, and they need help. Hali will team well with Jared Allen on the DE's. Hali is fast and active enuf to play the run as well.

21. New England Patriots - Joseph, Jonathan, CB South Carolina | This guy had a great combine and absolutely flew in the 40. He is rising on everyones board, and we all know about the shuffling of the Pats secondary last year. fits well.

22. Denver Broncos - Kiwanuka, Mathias, DE Boston College | Kiwi is a freak at 6'8 and can rush the passer. He had some problems at the senior bowl and some question him against the run. By adding some weight and getting in the right system he can flourish. Denver needs help sacking the QB, and thats what Kiwi does best.

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Scott, Jonathan, OT Texas | Their OT play was suspect last year at best. Scott is a big, mobile, and physical tackle who has been climbing peoples boards. His job will be to protect young Simms and keep the road paved for Cadillac.

24. Cincinnati Bengals - Simpson, Ko, S South Carolina | This guy is being called the next Roy Williams. Not a bad comparison. He is everywhere on the field and has a nose for the football. In a secondary with Deltha O'Neal and Tory James, Simpson will have chances to be a playmaker. Thats what Marvin Lewis likes.

25. New York Giants - Nicholson, A.J., OLB Florida St. | Word is that the giants are close to signing Sam Madison as a FA. He helps the secondary, but the Giants need help at LB. The team was a M.A.S.H unit there last year and adding A.J. helps right away. He is athletic and just what the Giants ordered. Also, dont be surprised if the Giants sign recent FA LaVar Arrington as well.

26. Chicago Bears - Pope, Leonard, TE Georgia | A physical athlete who can catch and block. He adds another option for young QB Grossman. Pope could be the main red zone target next year for Chicago.

27. Carolina Panthers - Bunkley, Brodrick, DT Florida St. | Age and injuries hit the DL of Carolina. Harris is a load in the middle who stuffs the run and can put pressure on the QB.

28. Jacksonville Jaguars - Hill, Tye, CB Clemson | A CB who's stock is rising. He plays the ball very well and is as sound as they come. The Jax D was hurt by the passing game. Another playmaker along side Rashean Mathis is a big upgrade.

29. Denver Broncos - Bing, Darnell, S USC | Being a Broncos fan and watching the play of Nick Ferguson this year, you are praying Denver drafts a safety. Bing is a proven winner who packs a punch. He's always around the ball and in the right spot. He can step in and play right away and learn from the great John Lynch.

30. Indianapolis Colts - Watson, Gabe, DT Michigan | Watson is a load in the middle and teaming him with Corey Simon will make it difficult to run between the tackles. Watson will take on blockers and allow the Colts smaller LB's to make tackles.

31. Seattle Seahawks - Jackson, Chad, WR Florida | Bobby engram is getting old. Jackson was givin the nickname "Stickum" by Vince Young at the all-star challenge. He's big and may have the softest hands in the draft. Another weapon for the Seattle O.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Cromartie, Antonio, CB Florida St | With no WR worthy of a pick this early, the Steelers draft to add some depth at #32. Before being injured early in the season, Cromartie was a top 2 or 3 CB. The Steelers will gamble and take Cromartie hoping he recovers to that game changing form.

33. Houston Texans - Winston, Eric, OT Miami (FL) | Had an impressive Senior Bowl. Showed agility and mobility. Its no secret the Texans line was awful last year, so Winston steps in and gives them an anchor.

34. New Orleans Saints - Sims, Ernie, OLB Florida St. | Sims is smallish, but makes up for it with great speed. He always seems to be in the right spot and gives NO a play maker at LB

35. New York Jets - Croyle, Brodie, QB Alabama | Since they missed out on Leinart and Young, the Jets get a QB in round 2. Croyle's size is a question, but no one questions his arm strength and his heart. The kid makes plays and is a good value pick here.

36. Green Bay Packers - Jean-Gilles, Max, OG Georgia | The Pack had a ton of issues on their O-Line last year. They couldn't run the ball, and Favre was running for his life. Gilles is a mammoth OG that can step in and start right away. He gives the Pack someone to block for a returning Ahman Green.

37. San Francisco 49ers - Youboty, Ashton, CB Ohio St. | The Niners secondary may have been the worst in NFL history last year. Youboty is a playmaker, that has a knack for the ball. He runs well with WR's, and uses his body well. He joins fellow Buckeye Hawk on the Niners D and gives tham a little hope for the future.

38. Oakland Raiders - Carpenter, Bobby, OLB Ohio St. | The injury late in the year was too bad for Bobby, he would have been a 1st rounder for sure. Oakland is excited to see him fall this far and take him to help a weak part of their team.

39. Tennessee Titans - Lutui, Taitusi, OG USC | The Titans had to release Brad Hopkins one of their starting linemen last year, so taking Lutui fills a need. Chow coached him at USC and knows what kind of blocker and athlete he can be.

40. Detroit Lions - Byrd, Dominique, TE USC | Byrd has been solid and is rising on boards. He adds another weapon to the Lions offense for whoever is the QB next year.

41. Arizona Cardinals - Howard, Thomas, OLB UTEP | Howard is a speedy LB'er who covers the entire field. Denny and the Cards need play makers on D and they get one with the high octane LB'er Howard.

42. Buffalo Bills - Wright, Rodrique, DT Texas | Buffalo missed out on Ngata in Rd 1. So they take another massive DT in Rod Wright. The bills suffered against the run w/o Sam Adams last year, so they get a replica here.

43. Cleveland Browns - Wroten, Claude, DT LSU | Even with the legal troubles, Wroten is worth the pick. He's physical, and has a quick burst off the ball. Romeo will be happy to have this guy anchoring his 3-4 D for years to come.

44. Baltimore Ravens - Harris, Orien, DT Miami (FL) | Another team who had a lack of depth on the d-line. The Ravens had troubles playing the run, and stuffing the run is Harris' calling card.

45. Philadelphia Eagles - Moss, Sinorice, WR Miami (FL) | The Eagles wait til Rd 2 to look at WR's and are thrilled to see this speedster fall to them here. Moss will make plays not only in the passing game, but he could be a playmaker in the return game. Great pick here.

46. St. Louis Rams - Hodge, Abdul, ILB Iowa | The Rams D was pitiful last year. Hodge is a high motor, tackling machine that will benefit from playing on turf.

47. Atlanta Falcons - Lawson, Manny, DE North Carolina St. | Another freak of a player. Big, strong, physical, and fast. He puts great pressure on the QB and he can help a pourus ATL D.

48. Minnesota Vikings - Mahelona, Jesse, DT Tennessee | An under-rated player in my opinion. Mahelona clogs up running lanes andtakes on blockers well. Minnesota needs someone like that and gets him here.

49. Dallas Cowboys - Allen, Jason, S Tennessee | The 'Boys still remember getting burned deep by Santana Moss on monday night. Taking Allen to team with Roy Williams mankes thier secondary very formidable. Allen looked strong at the combine coming off the hip injury last season.

50. San Diego Chargers - Jackson, D'Qwell, ILB Maryland | With aging LB's other than Merriman, the Bolts take one of his former teammates in Jackson. He's quick and can play sideline to sideline.

51. Miami Dolphins - Spencer, Charles, OG Pittsburgh | Spencer had a great senior bowl, and proved he is athletic enough to play inside or outside. The Phins haven't had a real rock on the o-line since Richmond Webb. Spencer is the guy to start building around.

52. New England Patriots - Stovall, Maurice, WR Notre Dame | With pending FA's at WR, Belichik puts in a call to his buddy about Stovall. Stovall would be a great fit having run a similar offense to NE's at Notre Dame last year. He's young and adds another weapon for Tom Brady.

53. Washington Redskins - Nance, Martin, WR Miami (OH) | Did anyone other than Moss catch a pass for the Skins last year? Exactly. Washington needs help at WR and Nance is a big target to complement the speedy Moss.

54. Kansas City Chiefs - Griffin, Cedric, CB Texas | The Chiefs parted ways with 2 of their top 3 CB's from last season. Needless to say they need help in their defensive backfield. Griffin was over shadowed by Huff at UT. But griffin is physical and made alot of plays himself. The cheifs are pumped to get him.

55. Cincinnati Bengals - Whitner, Donte, S Ohio St. | Lets face it, the Bengals D wasn't what you expect from a Marvin Lewis team. Whitner is a play makinf S that can play the pass, but steps up and plays the run just as well. He is alot like former Buckeye Mike Doss.

56. New York Giants - Zemaitis, Alan, CB Penn St. | The G-Men parted ways with Will Allen, so adding Zemaitis makes alot of sense. Even if they do sign FA Sam Madison, Zemaitis will be a big help in the secondary.

57. Chicago Bears - Trueblood, Jeremy, OT Boston College | The Bears D was solid last year. So they are looking to add depth on the offensive side of the ball. Trueblood is a nasty OT that plays hard all the time. He will be a fave of Lovie Smith.

58. Carolina Panthers - Fasno, Anthony, TE Notre Dame | Fasano is a big target that can catch anything. Not only does he do that, he can run block as well. He is a big upgrade for Carolina, and gives Delhomme another target in the red zone.

59. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Wimbley, Kamerion, DE Florida St. | Simeon Rice's status is up in the air, so the Bucs look to add some depth at DE here. Wimbley may play LB in the NFL put he can rush the passer at the DE spot just as well.

60. Jacksonville Jaguars - Lewis, Marcedes, TE UCLA | Lewis is slipping on the board due to his lack of physicality in blocking, and a quiet week at the senior bowl. However at #60 Jax is pumped to have another target for Byron.

61. Denver Broncos - Oshinowo, Babatunde, DT Stanford | Gerard Warren and Monsanto Pope are FA's and the Broncos have released Trevor Pryce. Oshinowo is a huge man in the middle that will help to add depth to the Broncos d-line rotation.

62. Indianapolis Colts - Addai, Joseph, RB LSU | Yes, the salary cap went up due to the new CBA. But its still a question mark if the Colts re-sign Edge. Addai had a great combine and can catch the ball out of the backfield as well.

63. Seattle Seahawks - Williams, Kyle, DT LSU | rocky Bernard is a FA and if he is not re-signed, the Hawks need someone to be that run stuffer. Williams had an amazing yeat at LSU, but was upstaged by his running mate Wroten.

64. Pittsburgh Steelers - Hester, Devin, CB Miami (FL) | Yes I know I have them taking a CB in round 1. But Hester can turn into a replica of a likely departing Randle-El. Hester can be an expolsive returner, as well as play WR like he did late in the Canes season. He can also play CB. He's like "slash" part 3? or 4? or 5? whatever one.

Huff is overall the better player on the board when it comes to Oakland, and with the loss of Woodson, Huff is a much more understandable pick.

And thats where it leaves off at Buffalo - If ngata happens to be picked, they will take huff.

Tamba Hali is top 15.

Ill do the rest tomorrow, im tired.

I keep seeing the same thing is several mocks. Ngata will not be taken before Huff and Davis. Those two are just too good of athletes to pass up. I see Oakland taking Huff according to your draft and Buffalo taking Vernon Davis.

Chad Greenway and DeMeco Ryans have both fallen out of the top 15. I think they are more on the lines of being late 1st round picks now. There are other players that have moved ahead of them.

Jay Cutler is a top 10 pick. I think the lowest he goes is at 13 to Baltimore. Also, Miami is about to pick up either Culpepper or Drew Brees. That means they won't take a 1st round QB because both of those guys will be long term signings.

Look for the Chargers to address their secondary in the 1st round. It was the worst position for them last year and there are some guys with good value at that point in the draft.

20 is too low for Hali. He's a top 15 pick for sure.

Jon Scott looked horrendous at the combine. He didn't perform well in any of the agility drills and looked clumsy in blocking drills. There was a pull drill I was watching him in and he just looked absolutely confused and uncoordinated. I think he's slipped to round 3.

A.J. Nicholson in the 1st round? This is the 3rd time I've seen this today. Why? He was horrid at the combine and has a lot of off the field problems that will push him to day 2. He isn't athletic.

Brodrick Bunkley is a top 15 pick. He's over 300 lbs and runs a 4.95 40. He also did 44 reps of 225 lbs on the bench press. He could go before Ngata in all honesty depending on the team drafting. I think he can play DE in a 3-4 defense as well. Also check your explanation there...you seem to be talking about Orien Harris who isn't a load in the middle either btw.

The Lions don't need a TE. They have a very good receiving TE in Marcus Pollard.

Claude Wroten would have to play DE for the Browns' 3-4 scheme. I don't know if he's athletic enough to do so. He's been very unwilling to do full workouts for scouts to see him thus far.

Manny Lawson is 6'6 241 lbs and runs a 4.43 40. He'll be an OLB in the 3-4 and is this year's DeMarcus Ware and Shawne Merriman. He's a top 15 pick. There is no way a 3-4 team needing an OLB can turn down that combination of size and speed.

Jesse Mahelona seemed to disappear behind a ton of double teams this last year. Elite DTs and make their presence felt despite double teams. He's a 3rd round pick at best. i think he falls to day 2.

D'Qwell Jackson cannot be successful in the 3-4 defense that San Diego runs. He's too small. He's a 4-3 LB. He could play any LB position in the 4-3. Also, he's the best ILB in the draft. There's no way he slips that far. He could go as early as pick 30 to Indianapolis.

Martin Nance is big, but slow. He runs about a 4.6 40. I think he's a 3rd round pick at best.

Donte Whitner is a top 20 pick. He is the 2nd best safety in the draft and can play FS, SS, or CB.

Alan Zemaitis is a 4th round pick to me. There's nothing about him that just stands out and knocks me off my feet.

Ryan O'Callaghan goes before Jeremy Trueblood. Trueblood doesn't seem to have an athletic bone in his body.

Oshinowo is not a 1st day pick. Dusty Dvoracek should be in your 2nd round somewhere.

This is very similar to another draft I saw from a guy with a different s/n yesterday. It's almost just as bad as his as well. There are a ton of different tools to use for research hidden in this forum. I suggest you find them and use them.

I pm you on how to do that.

Couple things with the draft though.. I only skimmed it though so I won't give a full review.

AJ Nicholson won't go in the first 2 rounds. Likely 4th in my opinion.

Packers are running a zone blocking scheme. It requires athletic guards. Jean-Giles is far from that. Nick Mangold makes a lot of sense there instead.

Like I said I skimmed. Take Cubbs opinion into consideration though.
