Default My first mock draft...

http://www.fantasyfootballjungle.com...ft.php?id=3189

I've been doing these by myself for a while but this is the first one that I posted on a site. Just a stab in the dark to see what y'all think.

I'm open to any suggestions that could help me out or if I forgot anybody.

I don't understand Cutler over Young at all...I know the guy is hot, but I think Tennessee would regret it if they took Cutler over Young. McNair will have Young in shape. That is the best situation for Young to be successful.

I think Denver, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, or Chicago would take Holmes. I just don't see him falling that far.

I think that early 2nd is too high for Jon Scott. I think Ryan O'Callaghan definitely goes before him. He looked clumsy and uncoordinated at the combine.

I don't see Kamerion Wimbley going to a team that runs the 4-3. He's a 3-4 OLB.

A.J. Nicholson ran a 4.87 40. He looked awful in position drills as well. That coupled with his off the field problems makes him Day 2 in my book.

I don't really care for the Cowboys taking a WR on the 1st day but if they do take one then Jason Avant is the type of WR they will take. I just think they need to upgrade RT, FS, NT, and ILB before they get a WR.

I'm not high on Zemaitis. I ran one "draft expert" who had him in round 1. I don't see it. I'd have to be really impressed by his pro day to put him even in the 1st day.

Late 2nd round is probably too low for Bing.

Devin Hester would be a reach in day 1 let alone round 2. I think he's a 4th round pick. He ran well, but he doesn't have any cover skills. I don't think he's that good of a returner to be worth a 2nd round pick.

All in all I think it's a good draft for your 1st one. I hope you stay active around here.

It might be just me but I can definately see Young falling a little, especially with Cutler's rise over the last month or so. I just think that there are too many questions over Young's motion, and, despite McNair's opinion, I think Norm Chow and Jeff Fisher would like a quarterback more in the Leinart or Carson Palmer set than Young.

I couldn't believe Holmes fell that far either, but I agree he will probably go higher on draft day.

I know Scott better than O'Callaghan, so thats why I put him higher. I don't know that much about O'Callaghan. Or Wimbley either for that matter. I'll switch that.

Nicholson was a mess up. I put this together in an hour and I accidently screwed that up. Sorry

I'm a Cowboys fan so the Avant pick was a personal opinion. I would just love to see them get another quality reciever.

I don't think Zematis is worth first round either but I think someone will definately take him first day. He's a top 10 CB in this draft.

See Holmes comment above for Bing.

Teams love track stars (see Fabian Washington in the first last year). Thats essentially what Hester is for me. He ran a 4.27 at Miami's timing day. Someone will take him and earlier than he should be taken.

I switched a couple things in the second round. This was my first try at a second round this year, so it will get better.

No way does Hester go round 2. Here's the BIG REASON. He can't play DB in the NFL. He's a primary Kick returner and at best he's a dime back. Hester is definatley a 2nd day pick.

Fine I give, I switched it, but I still think Hester will be picked earlier than people expect just based on speed alone.

He did run a 4.47 at the combine. Which is pretty low for the group. I think he falls to round 5 but he could go round 4 if someone really needs special teams help.

Yeah, he ran horribly at the Combine but he's ran well since, specifically at Miami's pro timing day (link above). Apparently, he did pretty good in front of scouts.

Yeah I just read that on nfl.com..

Even so he's a bad CB. He didn't start on his team. Darrell Hunter and Kelly Jennings will both go ahead of him. If speed was everything than Chris Johnson who was the fastest man in the 2002 draft wouldn't of fallen to the 6th round. I actually think Johnson is a better prospect that Hester as well. Hester is raw. He has bad hips. He's not the greatest in coverage and he spent to much time switching back and forth at WR and CB. I liked him a lot in college. One of my fav players from the U but the fact is he won't translate to the NFL well. Day 2 pick. Definately not as high as round 2.
