Default Mock Draft Version 4

1.
Titans(via HOU) - Leinart, Matt, QB USC | The Titans trade up to grab Leinart and Norm Chow gets his college QB back. Leinart is drawing comparisons to Tom Brady with his poise, demeanor and overall ability. He will be a franchise QB for the Titans for years to come.

2. Jets - Bush, Reggie, RB USC | The Jets need playmakers on offense, and Bush is the best of the bunch. Reggie Bush is deemed thed next Gale Sayers, by Sayers himself. He has an uncanny ability to make people miss and that will go a long way in the NFL.

3. 49ers - Williams, DeAngelo, RB Memphis | With Bush off the board, the Niners go with DeAngelo. Kevan Barlow and Frank Gore are not good enough to be NFL RB's and the Niners need playmakers where ever they can get them on offense and Williams is the BPA.

4. Packers - Williams, Mario, DE North Carolina St | I expect them to sign either Ahman Green or Najeh Davenport so Williams won't be the choice. Williams is an absolute beast of a DE and will give the Packers a scary Defensive Line with KGB and Super Mario.

5. Texans(via TEN) - Ferguson, D'Brickashaw, OT Virginia | This pick seems obvious. David Carr can be good if given time to throw. Ferguson is the best OT since Robert Gallery and the Texans OL would improve instantly with his acquisition.

6. Cardinals - Hawk, A.J., OLB Ohio St. | With Vince Young not declaring, the Cardinals need to go in another direction other than QB. Kurt Warner has been surprisingly consistent so they can afford to wait one more year for next years' QB heavy draft(Young, Quinn, Vick). Hawk is an absolute ballhawk(like that?) and he will team up with Karlos Dansby to give the Cards one of the best tandems of young LB's.

7. Saints - Williams, Jimmy, CB Virginia Tech | The Saints need playmakers on defense, and Williams is as good as they come. A change to Safety could be in his future but he is good in both areas and will improve the Saints D right away.

8. Ravens - Kiwanuka, Mathias, DE Boston College | The Ravens need a QB also but next year is the year of the QB. Kiwanuka is a relentless pass rusher and could be used as an OLB LB if the Ravens use the 3-4 again. He will bring another force to an already outstanding defense.

9. Dolphins - Winston, Eric, OT Miami (FL) | Jacobs might be a little bit of a reach here so they take their chance with Winston. They need help on the OL more than anything else. Winston is a 1st-team All American and will bring instant improvement to this team.

10. Bills - Ngata, Haloti, DT Oregon | They need help stopping the run and big time. Ngata is a run-stopper at its best. He has the ability to be a Top 5 pick if he waits one more year to come out but I don't expect that to happen.

11. Browns - Brooks, Ahmad, ILB Virginia | Crenell finally gets to draft defense and Brooks is just the type of player that they need. He brings speed and superb tackling ability to this decent defense. Hopefully the Browns will be able to re-sign Andra Davis.

12. Lions - Thomas, Joe, OT Wisconsin- DE is no longer a need with James Hall and Kalimba Edwards both playing great this year. Any Lions' fan will tell you that outside of QB, OT is their biggest need. Thomas may be a little bit of a reach but that's their need position and they will take the reach to get Thomas.

13. Raiders - Ryans, DeMeco, OLB Alabama | The Raiders need playmakers on defense, anywhere that they can get them. Ryans is the best defensive player available IMO and the Raiders D would be instantly improved with him patrolling the outside.

14. Rams - Greenway, Chad, OLB Iowa | Lewis seems to be the pick for most mocks I see, but when you have so many needs on defense, and so many weapons on offense, why draft a TE. Greenway will be the pick and the Rams will be a better team because of it.

15. Eagles - Holmes, Santonio, WR Ohio St. | May be a bit of a reach but with T.O. out of the picture WR is now their biggest need. Given time, I think Reggie Brown can be good and will team up with Holmes to give the Eagles two great targets on offense. Holmes is a big play waiting to happen and will ease the pain of T.O.'s departure.

16. Broncos(via WAS) - Landry, Laron, S LSU | Nick Ferguson is nothing to brag about and Lynch is close to hanging up his cleats. Landry is the best Safety in the draft IMO and will instantly improve the Broncos pass defense.

17. Vikings - Maroney, Laurence, RB Minnesota | This pick is not just because of the hometown factor. Maroney also is a need pick because Mewelde Moore is nothing more than a 3rd down back and Michael Bennett is too injury prone. Maroney is a big play waiting to happen and can run both inside and outside the tackles.

18. Patriots - Hill, Tye, CB Clemson | Hill is surging up everyone's draft board and its no accident. He has good cover skills with blazing speed. He will give much needed depth to the Pats secondary and may even start right away.

19. Buccaneers - Jacobs, Omar, QB Bowling Green | Chris Simms is not the QB of the future of that team, Bucs fans will realize that sooner of later. Jacobs is a leader by example, and has great pocket presence, something that is rare for a rookie. He will learn behind Griese for a year, maybe two, and then take off.

20. Falcons - Bing, Darnell, S USC | The Falcons need to replace Keion Carpeneter because he is horrible throwing the deep ball. Bing is a playmaker and would give the Falcons a much needed presence in the secondary.

21. Steelers - Jean-Gilles, Max, OG Georgia | May be a reach but the Steelers need some help on the inside of their line. Jean-Giles is the best Guard in a long time and he will prove it with the Pitt rushing attack.

22. Chiefs - Jackson, Chad, WR Florida | Outside of Kennison, the Chiefs have had no production at WR. Kennison is old anyway and a replacement will be needed. Jackson is a good talent who can be very good if he realizes his potential.

23. Giants - Wright, Rodrique, DT Texas | Clancy and Joseph have both played good this year but Clancy is up there in age and Wright should not have dropped this far. He should start right away and give the G-Men a good run-stuffer.

24. Cowboys - Huff, Michael, S Texas | Besides Roy Williams they have nobody. Huff has moved himself into the 1st Round with his great play on the field this year and the Cowboys could really use him.

25. Chargers - Colledge, Daryn, OT Boise St. | With the Big 3 at safety off the board the Bolts take a bit of a stretch with Colledge. He will start right away or until Oben retires, which can't be long.

26. Bears - Lewis, Marcedes, TE UCLA | Extremely lucky to see Lewis fall this far. They could use more weapons on offense and Lewis is a great receiving TE with decent blocking skills. He will give either Grossman or Orton and good target over the middle.

27. Panthers - Watson, Gabe, DT Michigan | Brenston Buckner nearly retired last year and Kris Jenkins will be coming off an injury next year so depth is needed at the very least. Watson has seen his stock go up and down but it seems he has solidified himself in the 1st Round

28. Jaguars - Davis, Vernon, TE Maryland- The Jags can finally get rid of Kyle Brady and give Leftwich yet another big target on offense. CB is their biggest need but their is no one worth taking here.

29. Bengals - Wroten, Claude, DT LSU | A presence on the D-Line is their biggest need and Wroten is the BPA at the position. He should start right away next to John Thornton.

30. Broncos - Hagan, Derek, WR Arizona St. | Rod Smith has only a year or two left in him and Ashley Lelie is nothing more than a deep threat. Hagan is a big WR who can go over the middle and will likely start over Lelie until Smith retires.

31. Seahawks - Sims, Ernie, LB Florida State- An incredibly fast LB. He will start right away after they lost both Chad Brown and Anthony Simmons in last years' offeason.

32. Colts - Howard, Thomas, OLB UTEP | The Colts biggest and possibly only need is at LB. Howard is a bit of a project but the Colts are good enough to take the risk.

Packers don't need a DE. They would take AJ Hawk. Aaron Kampman and KGB are both having solid seasons in Green Bay. Hawk would be the pick there or they would trade down to get Maroney if he enters.

Simms has played well thus far and is the QB of the team. I disagree with you. Jon Gruden loves him and Tampa is heading too the playoffs most likely so it looks like he'll be o.k.

It wasn't bad though. Hard to read kind of all crammed together so I more so skimmed it. Nice Job!

Omar has seen his stock drop a bit with his recent injuries. Expect the Lions to give Jeff Garcia a whole year to show what he can do and they grab a QB next year if that doesn't work out.

Packers need help all over on defense. They will take the BPA and that would be Super Mario.

Tampa Bay will not make the playoffs. Their schedule is too difficult for them to end up better than Atlanta. Chris Simms will be the reason why they do not make the playoffs.

I fixed it so it's less scrambled.

Packers defense has played solid all year long. Jim Bates has done an amazing job with that unit. Ranking 10th overall. Also I heard they rate AJ Hawk as of now their top defensive player.

Of Course combine will determine a lot of things.

As for Tampa they play the Saints twice so they'll get to 9 wins right there in my opinion. I also think they'll knock off either Atlanta,Carolina, or New England.

The Bucs will lose 1 of the 2 games to the Saints and all 3 against ATL, CAR, and NE. They will finish 8-8.

I wouldn't put all the blame on Simms though. Is it his fault that when he took over as the starter Carnell Williams got hurt and they had to rely on him way more than they would of liked. The defense also hasn't played well 2 out of the past 3 weeks. Tampa has way more needs than QB. Gruden who will be the coach next year most likely loves Chris Simms as a QB which is why they drafted him in the first place. Simms has played decent in the past couple of weeks.

Also nothing against you but it's hard too take you seriously when your a big Falcon fan. It be like me saying the Bears will finish 9-7 and drop 1 or 2 too the Pack. May I add I think that's what's going too happen or should I say hope...

As a Falcons fan, I think they will be lucky to finish at 10-6. They have a tough schedule as well and it's obviously down to the Bucs and Falcons for the 6th playoff spot. Maybe Minnesota keeps winning and sneaks in as well but the Bucs are not a good team. They got off to a lucky start and they will come back to Earth soon. I said the same thing about the Redskins when they started 4-0. Where are they now. I know that right now they are 7-4 but there is still time for them to choke. Look at Jacksonville last year.

pick #25 before Winston Justice and Jon Scott. A side note Joe Thomas is staying at Wisconsin.
