Default MOCK DRAFT

Team - Player | Description
1. Arizona Cardinals - Leinart, Matt, QB USC | The future for this team is Leinart. Warner and McCown are good players but neither are the future to the team.

2. Houston Texans - Ferguson, D'Brickashaw, OT Virginia | Furguson will allow Carr more time to throw. If Carr doesn't perform with D. Furguson, then he may be done in Houston.

3. San Franciso 49ers - Bush, Reggie, RB USC | Will have two great young players on offence with Smith and Bush.

4. Green Bay Packers - Kiwanuka, Mathias, DE Boston College | There is no doubt that the Packers have offensive weapons, but they were all hurt in 2005. The defense struggled too. This is why the Packers will go denfence here. KGB and Kiwanuka will ensure a good d-line.

5. Cleveland Browns - Jacobs, Omar, QB Bowling Green | Take the home-state kid. Jacobs is a very athelctic QB who can make plays.

6. New Orleans - Brooks, Ahmad, ILB Virginia | The Saints could go about everywhere in this draft. Brooks is the best available player here and would really help that poor Saints defence.

7. New York Jets - Smith, Steve, WR USC | The Jets really need some offensive weapons. There D is still pretty good, but if Pennington is able to come back and play effectively, he'll need some help around him.

8. Baltimore Ravens - Winston, Eric, OT Miami (FL) | Winston will help the Ravens poor offence. Last draft they took a WR, so maybe they'll help out J. Lewis here with another good lineman.

9. Minnesota Vikings - Williams, DeAngelo, RB Memphis | This team really needs help. RB is a big concern, so this pick would make sence for the team.

10. Buffalo Bills - Williams, Jimmy, CB Virginia Tech | Bills could really go with an offensive player, but there is no way they can pass on Williams. Williams can come in and make an impact immediately. The Bills will continue to have a very good defence.

11. Oakland Raiders - Williams, Mario, DE North Carolina St | The O is good, but the D still needs to improve. Last draft they took F. Washington to help the secondary, but the pass rush still isn't very good. This is why the Raiders will take Williams.

12. Detroit Lions - Hawk, A.J., OLB Ohio St. | Finally, the Lions don't take a WR here. Hawk will really help out the struggling linebacking core of the Lions.

13. Miami Dolphins - Trueblood, Jeremy, OT Boston College | Ferotte didn't do a bad job. I can see the Dolphins trading up to get Jacobs (Leinart if they want him that much) or down to get Gradkoski, but if they stay with their current pick, then they will probably take an offensive linemen.

14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - McNeill, Marcus, OT Auburn | Tampa should have made the playoffs, but when Greise went down so did their chances. This team is still good, so an O lineman would help to further develop Carnell and protect Greise.

15. Tennessee Titans - Greenway, Chad, OLB Iowa | Keith Bullock needs help. Greenway will start and make huge plays for this team.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars - Hester, Devin, CB Miami (FL) | If Hester last this long, look for Jaguars to take him just because he is the best avaiable player.

17. St. Louis Rams - Allen, Jason, CB Tennessee | Although Allen was this last season, he will still make the top 20 in the draft. Allen has the ability to do many things, such as play FS or CB. The Rams really need help with their secondary, so Allen has a good chance to go here.

18. Kansas City Cheifs - Holmes, Santonio, WR Ohio St. | Cheifs will have a very good player here. Even though the D didn't do great last year, they definatley improved. Give Trent Green an offensive weapon at WR at this team could be even better on O.

19. Chicago Bears - Lewis, Marcedes, TE UCLA | Someone had to win the NFC North and this year it was the Bears. However, the team still needs to improve. Taking Lewis here may be a little high but it would really improve the O.

20. New England Patriots - Hagan, Derek, WR Arizona St. | How the mighty have fallen, but not very far. Brady needs some targerts at WR, one that can change the game.

21. Dallas Cowboys - Avant, Jason, WR Michigan | Glenn and Johnson had great seasons, but neither are getting any younger. P. Crayton was hurt last year too, so a WR here makes since and gives Bledsoe another option.

22. San Deigo Chargers - Harris, Orien, DT Miami (FL) | Although they took the Northwestern DT last year, taking another here gives the Chargers a young and dominating interior D line.

23. Philadephia Eagles - Wright, Rodrique, DT Texas | He will replace Cory Simon and really help out that struggling Eagles rush defence which can be troubled at some times. Plus, Wright will give the team depth, which has been a problem.

24. Denver Broncos (from Washington) - Jean-Gilles, Max, OG Georgia | Denver O line has lost some talent but is still good, nonetheless. Jean-Gilles will only improve this O-line which looks like has not one but two 1,000 yard rushers this year!

25. Carolina Panthers - Maroney, Laurence, RB Minnesota | The best pick of the draft. Maroney is a great player and will probably have a chance to play since Foster and Davis are oftened injured. More than likely Maroney will be the back of the future in Carolina.

26. New York Giants - Havner, Spencer, OLB UCLA | The Giants had a great year and a great D. However, Havner is a great player and improves the biggest weakness on the D of the giants, the linebackers.

27. Seattle Seahawks - Watson, Gabe, DT Michigan | Will plug the holes and crush the oppenents run game.

28. Denver Bronocs - Nance, Martin, WR Miami (OH) | Denver needs some improvement with thier WR. Rod Smith is getting old and Lelie is inconsistant.

29. Cincinnati Bengals - Herian, Matt, TE Nebraska | The only weakness is TE for the Bengals O. Herian will make this O even more dangerous. He will be used like Heath Miller was in Pittsburgh.

30. Pittsbrugh Steelers - White, LenDale, RB USC | Surprise pick of the draft. Bettis is very old and often injured, and Staley missed half of the 2005 season, at least. White can come in and compete with Parker for the #1 RB position. The Steelers would have a great O and D.

31. Atlanta Falcons - Justice, Winston, OT USC | Protecting Mike Vick is very important to this team. Justice has already protected a QB named Leinart, so he probably wouldn't do a bad job helping Vick out either.

32. Indianpolis Colts - Whitworth, Andrew, OT LSU | Despite a great season, the underplay of the Colts offence line is a concern to the team. Whitworth is a great player and can help in botht the run and pass game.

i know i have some problems with this mock, like R. Wright going so late and no Vince Young(thinking he'll stay in college), but i would still really like some input.

Actually, the LenDale White pick wouldnt be that surprising. Maybe I am "Johnny come lately" on this one but I see a growing trend in the NFL.
Get two really good running backs and have them compliment each other.
Plus you always have insurance in case one goes down. White and Willie Parker would be added to this list.

Larry Johnson-Priest Holmes
Ronnie Brown-Ricky Williams
Chris Perry-Rudi Johnson
Mike Anderson-Tatum Bell
Thomas Jones-Cedric Benson
Stephen Davis-Deshaun Foster
TJ Duckett-Warrick Dunn
Reshard Lee-Tony Fisher

ehhhh it's ok.

No WR is worth a Top 10 pick next year and that includes Steve Smith. He won't go in the top 10. Late first at best. Probably a 2nd or 3rd rounder though.

Packers have no RB under contract for next year but Tony Fisher. It's likely that if they pick that high they'll take DeAngelo Williams or Reggie Bush. Says "packer" insiders.

Also Green Bay has a PRETTY DARN GOOD DEFENSE this season. Ranks 10th overall in the NFL. Not bad. A RB a Guard or a DT or DB is the likely choice for them.

Browns took Charlie Fyre last year in the 2nd round. They won't go QB in the first in 2006.

Brooks has been hurt almost all year so bet on him staying.

Jermey Trueblood is way to high. Jonathan Scott of Texas and Marcus McNeil of Auburn are sure best for 1st rounders. Scott is a late first eary 2nd round pick right now.

Hester won't go first round. He's primary just a Punt returner. He's too raw at CB to project him there. Look for him in the 3rd round right now.

Havner won't go first round. Right now pending his combine he's a 3rd to 4th round pick.

Watson won't go first day most likely. He's had an awful year.

Herian is intresting. He's projected to go in round 3 but I really like the kid. I think he'll go round 2 as a surprise but round 1 is even a reach for me.

I'm glad to see you like input on the draft. Do more research and come back with a better one next time. I look forward to it. If you have to read scouting reports on the players.

Not a very good mock: why are guys like Jacobs, Trueblood, and Smith in there? Neither of those guys are 1st rounders right now.

Jacobs is probably based on physical abilty alone. Smith is another guy that is in the running for a first rounder because their isn't any clear cut top WR in the draft and with a good combine could sneak in the first round. Trueblood is a border pick. Meaning he's probably a early to mid second round pick based on the depth this draft has at lineman.
