I'm not a big Stewart fan, I think he's got Lendale White written all over him.
The Giants wanted to keep Grant, but didn't have a roster spot for him. The Giants might have had the best depth chart at RB this season. Brandon Jacobs produced, Reuben Droughns is a proven commodity that they used at FB, Derrick Ward was better than average when he was the starter and Bradshaw contributed heavily in the playoff stretch. Grant just didn't get his shot with all that depth. He took advantage of it when he did, though. Yes. Most players cut or traded for peanuts don't usually turn out to be great elsewhere. There are exceptions, though.

Lendale White was a very good running back this season. I was impressed with his production. Stewart is much more athletic than White, though. He's more like Willis McGahee to me.

Ryan Grant is an exclusive rights free agent. That means the Packers have his rights if they want to have him back. He can't sign anywhere since he's not a UFA or a RFA. If the Packers want him back he's signed with them. So Grant isn't going anywhere cause I'm sure the Pack will bring him back. I also read he wants a long term deal with the Packers.

As far as Grant getting traded. I think that was just a mixture of the Packers doing a good job of tracking the guy and Giants getting something for a player they just didn't have room for. When the trade happen, Green Bay actually offered Mason Crosby or Dave Rayner for him but the Giants took the pick instead.

I wouldn't put it past the Chargers to make a reach either. They did so with Craig Davis last year.

I agree with the last part. I think that what will ultimately be the Chargers biggest mistake, and I was not in favor of the choice last year, was to hold on to Michael Turner. It probably didn't help Turner either, who had a down year in terms of efficiency. Without 2nd and 3rd round picks the Chargers will be forced to reach, but had they traded Turner last year they would likely have been in position to take David Harris.

I don't dislike Lendale White, I under explained myself.

His production this year was good in terms of volume, but he average 3.6 ypc, lower than Chris Brown. White had alot of yards, but had over 300 carries also.

I was talking about Lendale White in terms entering the draft out of shape, and coming to the combine unprepared.

While Lendale White didn't run the 40 due to that torn hamstring, I think that Stewart's time will be unimpressive.
