Default My Mock Draft

Team - Player | Description
1.
San Francisco 49ers - Aaron Rogers, QB California | This team is horrible, They need someone who can actually play QB

2. Miami Dolphins - Cedric Benson, RB Texas | The Dolphins need a lot of players in a lot of positions but there is no bigger hole than at RB. Benson may be the best running back in the draft with speed and power.

3. Cleveland Browns - Alex Smith, QB Utah | Many of the problems for the Browns last year were on offnese. With Lee Suggs finally healthy and Garcia coming off of an injury the Browns need to address the depth at QB. Adding Smith and giving him time under Garcia will help the Browns in the future. Another Possible pick would be for new Head Coach Crennel to go after a DB, possibly Pac-Man Jones, or Rolle

4. Chicago Bears - Alex Barron, OT Florida State | The Bears offense will focus on the run, they need a good lineman that can push the d-line back and open holes for Jones and the A-train

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Derrick Johnson, LB Texas | Drafting Clayton last year gave them their only young WR, look for thm to either draft Mike Williams or Derrick Johnson who can help the quickly ageing defense

6. Tennessee Titans - Mike Williams, WR USC | Norm Chow as the offensive coordinator, Williams possibly still avaliable, matching Williams with his old coordinator may make him the ROY for 2005

7. Oakland Raiders - Carnell Williams, RB Auburn | The Raiders running back situation is pitiful. Adding Williams would be a great pick. If they do sign Ricky Williams, look for them to add a DB since Charles Woodson has been trying to get out for the last two seasons, Pac-Man Jones, or Rolle would be a good fit if still there

8. Arizona Cardinals - Pac-Man Jones, CB West Virginia | If the top two RB\'s are gone, then look for Arizona to add defense. They need a quality DB and its a toss up between PAc-Man Jones and Rolle, this pick I\'ll go with the Pac-Man

9. Washington Redskins - Braylon Edwards, WR Michigan | With WR a high priority in this years draft, look for the \'skins to trade up and try to get Williams or stay where they are and get Edwards. also possibly lok for the skins to trade this pick for Brees, obviously Gibbs does not like Ramsey and he is now seeing that brunnel is done, this may be the dark horse trade of the draft

10. Detroit Lions - Antrel Rolle, CB Miami (FL) | The Lions will finally draft defense in the first round, they could use a defensive end or a DB if Rolle makes it this late, look for the Lions to pick him

11. Dallas Cowboys - Erasmus James, DE Wisconsin | The Cowboys need help on Defense, Parcells will be looking to add size as well as pass rushing ability. James at 6-4, 263 lbs may need to gain some weight for Parcells but will be an excellent pass rusher.

12. San Diego Chargers (From NYG) - Justin Miller, CB Clemson | San Diego has two first round draft picks, the first one they should use for defense, Miller will be a nice compliment to jammer in the secondary

13. Houston Texans - Thomas Davis, S Georgia | Last year the Texans drafted defense, last year they could not stop the pass, the Texans will hope that Rolle, Jones, or Miller fall to them or they will trade up to get one, if not look for them to add to the secondary with Davis

14. Carolina Panthers - Jammal Brown, OT Oklahoma | Panthers need a good OT after the fiasco last year. Brown would be a nice fit to the line. they may also look at gaurd and move Wharton from gaurd back to his natural postion of tackle. Another possibility is for the team to look at LB or WR

15. Kansas City Chiefs - Marcus Spears, DE LSU | Its obvious that the Chiefs need Defense. The front Seven was horrible last year along with the secondary. With all the Top Secondary players out of the draft look for them to add Spears to their front four

16. New Orleans Saints - Channing Crowder, LB Florida | The Saints are another team that needs defense, they need help at DB, LB, and OL. Look for them to fill either the LB or DB position. If they dont choose to fill LB look for carlos Rogers from Auburn.

17. Cincinnati Bengals - Anttaj Hawthorne, DT Wisconsin | Defense seems to be a theme for the first round, the Bengals need to add an anchor in the middle of their defense Hawthorne at 6-3, 305 lbs will be a nice anchor.

18. Minnesota Vikings - Ronnie Brown, RB Auburn | The Vikings never make sense come draft day. I think they will draft offense when they need defense look for Tice to add a RB to try and get rid of his RB\'s with off-the-field-problems. The best back here is Brown.

19. St. Louis Rams - Heath Miller, TE Virginia | The Rams need help up front on the line. They also need a good TE if Miller isnt grabbed earlier the Rams get a good Pass Catching TE as well as a good blocker.

20. Dallas Cowboys (from Buf) - Shawne Merriman, LB Maryland | Once again Defense will be the focus for Parcells this year, look for him to add Merriman or another D-lineman in DT Shaun Cody.

21.Jacksonville Jaguars - Shaun Cody, DT USC | The Jags With Del Rio will probly go defense(his specialty) and go after cody or travis johnson.

22. Baltimore Ravens - Craphonso Thorpe, WR Florida St. | The Ravens need help at WR. Thorpe is fast, 4.37 40, has good height 6-2 and should develope into a solid WR. Even if they trade for Moss look for them to add Thorpe.

23. Seattle Seahawks - Charlie Frye, QB Akron | Hasselback is approaching 30, and I dont see him playing till he is 40, Frye will develope into a solid QB if he is given the opportunity to sit and wait. Look for the seahawks to draft a LB if they choose not to look 4 years down the road and probly end up with Kevin Burnett

24. Green Bay Packers - Charlie Frye, QB Akron | I know i Just picked Frye for the seahawks but i really see them drafting a LB. The Packers desperatly need a QB, Frave is not going to be throwing forever. They may trade up but i dont see them trading that far up to get smith or Rogers

25. Denver Broncos - David Pollack, DE Georgia | The Bronco\'s D-line is getting old, look for them to grab Pollack or a Saftey

26. New York Jets - Elton Brown, OG Virginia | The Jets have a pretty good line but Kendall is starting to get up there in age and need a solid backup that can step in if he gets injured or retires. Brown would be a good fit for the Jets.

27. Atlanta Falcons - Mark Clayton, WR Oklahoma | Atlanta has Price at WR but needs to give hime help. If Vick ever starts to throwing to WR\'s Clayton would be a pretty good target.

28. San Diego Chargers - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Chris Colmer, NC State Colmer is a good O-lineman and would help the San Diego line open holes for Tomlinson

29. Indianapolis Colts - Donte Nicholson, S Oklahoma | The Colts have the best offense in the league and one of the worst defenses in the league. They need saftey linebacker and deline help, adding Nicholson would help one of those areas

30. Pittsburgh Steelers - TA McLendon, RB North Carolina St. | If Jerome Bettis Retires look for him to be replaced in the draft. It more than likely will ntot be Mclendon he probly wont be picked up till the second round, but he would fit with Pittsburgs pounding attack.

31. Philadelphia Eagles - Vernand Morency, RB Oklahoma St. | The Eagles are good at WR thanks to TO but need a good back-up to Westbrook. They have a solid defense and line and with the talent left here i think Morency is the best fit

32. New England Patriots - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Corey Webster, LSU, The Patriots really do not need much, but they do need DB's since Ty Law is going to make too much money and will probly be gone. if they do keep law look for Williamson wr from South Carolina to be drafted

I wont argue with the first 3 picks..... i could see that happening..
Ahh yes... the Chicago Bears i dont see them passing up on Mike Williams/Bryland Edwards..... most likely Williams as they wanted him last year.... because there WRs are complete garbage..... i dont see them drafting otherwise.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers You're right about the aging defense... but with the choice between Ronnie brown and Carnell Williams still on the board... Charlie Garner is aging.... Pittman cant hang on to the ball. But for some reason if they did pull off a surprize....... i dont think your pick would be much of one.... but again i dont see them passing up on either one of these backs.
Tennessee Titans AHHHHH i dont see how you have Pac Man ahead of Antrel Rolle...... crazy..... well Titans should have a killer combo with the Rolles at CB! hah...
7. Oakland Raiders I see the raiders going with Edwards here...... or williams, whichever one falls... I dont see them selecting a back with this pick considering the RB depth is pretty good in this draft and there will be plenty of quality ones falling into the 2nd round pick....
Arizona Cardinals a CB!????? Smith retired.. (not like he had much more of a future, lol) I see them taking whoever is left Ronnie/Carnell... Reason is theres no QBs worth taking at the 8th pick...... they go to another need RB..

Well those are just my thoughts...... ~_~

I did not even read the whole draft. The first 3 picks were good but there easy, and look for Alex Smith to go 1. Then you got an OT going to the Bears, yeah right, they need a WR! badly, Terrell sucked this year, then Tampa needs a running back, and Tennessee needs o-line and how could you put Pac-man over Antrell!!!!! Sorry I don't mean to be mean but its just that those picks are way off.
Adios and sorry again

these guys are right. but the one thing i find wierd is that everyone expects the browns to get benson or a QB, well heres a proposal, why not let Luke McCown develope? he has one of the strongest arms in the NFL already. i say they should take Alex Barron and start building that piece of shit they call a line

Unfortunantly the problem with trying to let him become better (McCown) is the downside that it doesn't happen very often, Josh McCown sucked in Arizona and was replaced by Shaun King, and the thing is that Crennell wants to start over with this team and they need a good QB as a corner stone, so they should draft a QB like Rogers, but if Alex Smith is there there should be no decision and he should be drafted. If you want an alternate pick for the Browns look for Rolle or Derrick Johnson, remember Crennell was a Defensive Coordinator and both of those possitions suck for the Browns.
peace
