Draft
Team - Player | Description
1.
San Francisco 49ers - Aaron Rogers, QB California | Rodgers isn\'t as physically talented as Alex Smith of Utah (Smith can get outside the pocket and make plays with his feet), but SF wants to go for a local guy. Still should be a star.
2. Miami Dolphins - Cedric Benson, RB Texas | An obvious pick. No Ricky Williams...so get his clone, Cedric Benson.
3. Cleveland Browns - Alex Smith, QB Utah | Browns can\'t pass up franchise QB. Jeff Garcia just isn\'t the answer for the Browns. Could trade down for OT Alex Barron because of big need at LT.
4. Chicago Bears - Braylon Edwards, WR Michigan | Edwards is so much more of a sure thing than Mike Williams of USC and has the potential to dominate. If they don\'t take a WR, look for a trade down.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Carnell Williams, RB Auburn | John Gruden will have the chance to see Cadillac up close and personal in the Senior Bowl, and he will be impressed. He can break tackles amazingly, but he has questions about blocking on pass plays.
6. Tennessee Titans - Pac-Man Jones, CB West Virginia | Titans could use help on D line or in the Defensive Backfield. They could look to completely begin rebuilding if one of the top 2 QBs is still on the board.
7. Oakland Raiders - Mike Williams, WR USC | Oakland needs a big play WR with Jerry Porter set to become an unrestricted free agent. Williams has excellent size, but he has had a year off from football. He also lacks amazing speed.
8. Arizona Cardinals - Ronnie Brown, RB Auburn | Possibly the best back in the draft, Brown can pretty much do it all and the Cards need a RB since Smith is getting old.
9. Washington Redskins - Antrel Rolle, CB Miami (FL) | The Redskins need a shutdown corner with Smoot set to become a free agent. Rolle looks like he would be a great fit. Redskins could draft Edwards if he slips this far.
10. Detroit Lions - Dan Cody, DE Oklahoma | Lions need help on Defense after having gone for offense with each of their last four first rounders. Cody can play DE or LB and has the potential to dominate
11. Dallas Cowboys - Alex Barron, OT Florida State | with the luxury of 2 first round picks, the cowboys can afford to draft the best player on the board. Will anchor their line for years. They could draft a Cb hear beacuse of their desperate need there.
12. San Diego Chargers (From NYG) - Derrick Johnson, LB Texas | Chargers could go for a Wr here, but none will be available that hold true value with this pick. Johnson gives them excellent value for this pick and can help improve their defense.
13. Houston Texans - Jammal Brown, OT Oklahoma | An overpick, but Houston cannot afford for David Carr to get sacked too much more. He could get hurt badly. They could also draft S Thomas Davis and completely their secondary, but the O line is just too big a hole to be ignored.
14. Carolina Panthers - Marlin Jackson, CB Michigan | Panthers just need to stay healthy next year to be a force, and they could use this pick to reinforce their secondary.
15. Kansas City Chiefs - Justin Miller, CB Clemson | KC can\'t play D, plain and simple. Miller could be a star at the next level, and the fact that he has rarely been talked about could let him go under the radar to this point.
16. New Orleans Saints - Channing Crowder, LB Florida | See KC. Saints could also go after DE Erasmus James.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Heath Miller, TE Virginia | Cincy takes a big play option for Carson Palmer. WARNING: Offense will be explosive in 2005.
18. Minnesota Vikings - Erasmus James, DE Wisconsin | Vikings need defensive help bad and James has great value at this pick. David Pollack is also a possibility.
19. St. Louis Rams - Mark Clayton, WR Oklahoma | Mike Martz does the usual thing, going for offense even though his defense is a joke. This could be a great pick for the future, though. Clayton has amazing hands, and since Issac Bruce is getting old, Clayton could step seemlessly into his spot. Should draft a D-Lineman
20. Dallas Cowboys (from Buf) - David Pollack, DE Georgia | Pollack gives the cowboys both value and d-line ability that they need with this pick. has bright future ahead of him.
21.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Thomas Davis, S Georgia | Jags put a finishing touch on what looks like a defense that will scare teams in the future. With their excellent d-line, they can afford to start a rookie in the secondary and get away with it.
22. Baltimore Ravens - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Troy Williamson, WR S. Car. Ravens, if they don\'t land Moss, could still go after a WR. Williamson is another guy who has been somewhat overlooked and he should prove his doubters wrong in the NFL.
23. Indy Colts (Trade with SEA) - Anttaj Hawthorne, DT Wisconsin | Colts trade second rounder and next year\'s first to acquire DT Hawthorne. Colts badly need run D (as evident in game vs Pats) and this is there man. Could go after CB Webster.
24. Green Bay Packers - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Kyle Orton, QB Purdue His draft stock will skyrocket with an excellent Senior Bowl and Combine. The Packers need DB help, but the opportunity to draft Farve\'s successor is too good to pass up.
25. Denver Broncos - Marcus Spears, DE LSU | Spears allows the Broncos to put more pressure on the QB. Broncos could trade down and pick up DE-LB Matt Roth
26. New York Jets - Craphonso Thorpe, WR Florida St. | Many intriguing possiblities here, but the Jets need a WR to stretch the field. Thorpe is quick, but he also broke his leg in 2003. Could be too big an injury concern for the Jets to pick here.
27. Atlanta Falcons - Chris Henry, WR West Virginia | Atlanta needs to trade up for a WR very badly. Henry is a big reach here, but he also has big time potential.
28. San Diego Chargers - David Baas, OG, Michigan | Chargers have the opportunity to make a good team great with two picks in the first round. Bass, who also played Center for the last 9 games of the year, will give LT even more running room. Teams will be BURNT by Tomlinson next year. He could rush for 20 TDs.
29. Indianapolis Colts - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Shawne Merriam, LB Maryland. A steal this late in the round. Colts draft him for smae reason they draft Hawthorne.
30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Alex Smith, TE Stanford. His name has been popping up on lots of mock drafts. Steelers need TE or CB. Smith only helps Roethlisberger\'s development.
31. Philadelphia Eagles - Shaun Cody, DT USC | Cody slips further than he should and is highway robbery for a team on the verge of winning a Super Bowl. His presence will take pressure of LB Jerimiah Trotter and will help the run defense.
32. New England Patriots - Corey Webster, CB LSU | Everyone knows Bill Belichick digs former LSU players, and Webster might be the steal of the draft. He has good size, but was downgraded because of an injury plagued year. Warning: could be the next Ty Law. He is the CB with the biggest upside in the draft. Can and will dominate a few years down the road.

Hmmm... pretty intresting Mock Draft. I like the idea of Mike Williams going to Oakland... but I believe he'll be picked before the Raiders can get a hand on him. Plus I like your Steelers draft choice of Alex Smith, TE, Stanford. Sounds very reasonable. Now check mine out... give me some feed back so i dont feel so alone... haha... good mock my man

Mock Draft
1.Tampa Bay Buccaneers (From SF 49ers) - Cedric Benson, RB Texas | Trading here to get their player. Trading probably Brad Johnson or Chris Simms along with a plethera of picks. Dont discount the possiblity of the Bucs and \"Chucky\" trading Rice and the No. 1 for the No. 1 overall pick. Run game at the bottom of the league and looking at whose on the board; Benson, Brown or Williams would all be possible picks.
2. Miami Dolphins - Alex Smith, QB Utah | If the trade for Travis Henry goes down, look for the Dolphins to take a QB; either Smith who is like a 5 tool baseball player, he can run, pass, and pass on the run with accurracy(Rodgers seems like a system QB of Tedfer like Joey Harrington, Hows his career) or OL players like Barron from FSU or Jammal Brown from OU
3. Cleveland Browns - Derrick Johnson, LB Texas | Romeo gets the job, look for him to add new faces to the Defense and shape them to be athletic and fast, like the New England LBs...that seems a good way to build a team. Around the defense, QBs should be in the 2nd or 3rd Rds. Possible late 2nd Rd or early 3rd Rd, Frye, Walter, Orlovsky, Cambell, Greene, or Orton.
4. San Deigo Chargers( From Chi) - Mike Williams, WR USC | San Deigo, trading the 2 first round picks to get their guy. Who did they have at the WR position McHold-out again? possible for the Bears to trade for two 1st rounders to get OL and Offensive playmaker. Chargers take WR Williams or Edwards. LT, Gates, and Mike or Braylon, looks like a future of the Early 90s Dallas Big Three.( Irvin, Akeman, and Emmett)
5. San Francisco 49ers( From TB) - Antrel Rolle, CB Miami (FL) | A DB from the U. Cant hurt to see the 9ers sure up a defense playmaker. With Peterson coming off an injury, the defense was horrible late in games.
6. Tennessee Titans - Braylon Edwards, WR Michigan | Possibly losing Andre Dyson to free agency a need at Wideout is there, you cant possibly see them rely on another Bennett breakout. If the Titans keep this pick they might take a WR, or possibly Secondary help with Pac-Man Jones, Carlos Rodgers, or Marlin Jackson for Michigan.
7. Oakland Raiders - Pac-Man Jones, CB West Virginia | If the Moss deal goes through keeping this pick is unlikely, if they do get Moss and keep this pick look for them to take Pac-Man, Shazor, or Shuan Davis out of Georgia, big and physical seems like an Al Davis type. But Phillip Buchannan is going to be involved in the Moss deal. So, secondary is gonna be hurting.
8. Arizona Cardinals - Aaron Rogers, QB California | The System sinks. Rodgers has so much talent in the Tedfer offense but without the new QB guru, Rodgers could possibly have a real weak season. Just because Fitzgerald and Boldin are there, how many TDs did they have last year. Boldin was hurt, but only went for a 100 once, if that.
9. Washington Redskins - Jammal Brown, OT Oklahoma | Joe Gibbs, wow. Portis didnt have the break away TDs last season like he did in the two season in Denver. Samuels needs some help with the pull offense, the drag runs didnt work much last season but help up front could keep Ramsey or Brunnel healthy.
10. Detroit Lions - Alex Barron, OT Florida State | Offense cant be a prioty for the fourth year in a row, or can it. Taking a Tackle could help protect Harrington. Stocker McDougle is a free agent and probably wont be back, so taking a young tackle with this pick could help with the pass protection.
11. Dallas Cowboys - Dan Cody, DE Oklahoma | If both Edwards and Williams are off the board look for the Cowboys to get the best possible player available on the Tunas draft board. Cody\'s intensity can only make the Tuna happy.
12. Chicago Bears (From SD thru NYG) - DBrickashaw Ferguson, OT Virginia | Taking the best available OT is the only correct choice. Unless the Bears go for LBs Shawne Merriman or Ahmad Brooks to help out Urlacher.
13. Houston Texans - Erasmus James, DE Wisconsin | The need for secondary help is an option but James the best available player on the board.
14. Carolina Panthers - Heath Miller, TE Virginia | Adding Miller could open the offense for a healthy Davis and Foster. Along with the 5\'9\" sparkplug Steve Smith and the once possession WR Mushin Muhammad turned All Pro last season in Smiths, Davis, and Foster\'s absence.
15. Kansas City Chiefs - Marlin Jackson, CB Michigan | Offensive pick, NO. This season all signs point to selecting the best secondary player on the board. Either, Davis, Shazor, Mar Jack or Carlos Rodgers are possible picks. But the safe pick is Marlin Jackson, size speed and atheletic ability is all there, and he can go toe to toe with the NFLs best.
16. New Orleans Saints - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Shaune Merriman is the a quality LB that can help the NO Saints, who were the most inconsistant teams in the NFL last season.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Travis Johnson, DT Florida St. | Taking a run stopper would only mean Marvin Lewis will play him and consistantly. Johnson has good size and speed to help out and add depth to a much improving Defense.
18. Minnesota Vikings - Ernest Shazor, S Michigan | Adding a physical Saftey to a weak defense last season could create some turnovers that the team diffently missed. Even though Corey Chavous thinks Davis is the best saftey. Look for the Vikes to take Secondary help.
19. St. Louis Rams - Channing Crowder, LB Florida | Look for the Rams to either select Defensive help at LB or CB. Either selecting available DBs like Davis, Shazor, Carlos Rodgers, or even Shaun Cody to be oposite Lenord Little.
20. Dallas Cowboys (from Buf) - Mark Clayton, WR Oklahoma | Selecting a Playmaker is a need to go along with both Juluis Jones,Keyshawn and probably the best NFC TE Whitten.
21.
Jacksonville Jaguars - David Pollack, DE Georgia | Selecting the best End on the Board is a need considering Hugh Douglas was cut(picked off waivers by Philadelphia) and Paul Spicer came off season ending injuries.
22. Baltimore Ravens - Michael Munoz, OT Tennessee | Possible new home for either Big Time WRs, either Burress or Moss can either end up on the Ravens offense. Fassell will likely select an Offensive Lineman to help keep Lewis and Boller healthy. The line now doesnt seem to be getting any younger.
23. Seattle Seahawks - Marcus Spears, DE LSU | The Seahawks most likely will see both starting ends leave at seasons end.
24. Green Bay Packers - Thomas Davis, S Georgia | If he is there he is now a Packer. Adding play that will help tone down the pass attack in the NFC North.
25. Denver Broncos - Shaun Cody, DT USC | Look for the Broncos to improve the Defensive Depth once again this off season. Adding a one gapper with excellent pass rush ability. Size seems to have him as a tweener but Cody lead colleges best pass rush last season.
26. New York Jets - Other, Put name in explanation -> | Carlos Rodgers if he isnt off the board. If he is look for the Jets to select a Saftey in either Shazor( if he is there) or James Butler out of Georgia Tech.
27. Atlanta Falcons - David Baas, OG, Michigan | Adding another Offensive line to the depth chart can only help the ATL Vick\'s.
28. Chicago Bears ( From SD) - Elton Brown, OG Virginia | Look for the Bears to select a playmaker or another OL man. With Troy Williamson on the board with a bunch of talent, and atheletic ability could be picked but there is also 2 great 4 year wide outs who will be there on day two, Taylor Stubbelfield of Purdue and Craig Bragg of UCLA.
29. Indianapolis Colts - Barrett Ruud, ILB Nebraska | With a Small secondary who make plays and a physical front 4 Morris looked like he need alot of him in the middle of the field, adding a Black shirt can be a step in the right direction.
30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Odell Thurman, ILB Georgia | A need for speed is what could have helped slow down Deion Branch and Corey Dillon. The natural athelete can only help out in Blitzburgh.
31. New England Patriots - Matt Roth, DE Iowa | A DE is a way that can help the middle aged defense which is just getting older, and young players with that kind of leadership can only keep the \"Dynasty\" intact.
32. Philadelphia Eagles - Ronnie Brown, RB Auburn | Slipping all the way down in this backfield is a possiblity since every other team has no need for a RB with this kind of talent. And look at how successful the RBs are in Philly. Without Buckhalter this season Levens and Westbrook did pretty damn good, but the need for a third back is a must, Look for the Eagles to selection a DL man or OL man here. Brown just slipped.

After having watched the Senior Bowl, I was not at all impressed with Kyle Orton. I thought he would play like he had something to prove, but he didn't. So I'll fix the Green Bay Packers Pick in my draft by giving them Carlos Rogers, CB from Auburn. Everyone knows the Pack need DBs, and they will get a steal in Rogers. (I know a lot of people want Charlie Frye, QB from Akron to go here, but he wont. It's just flat out too early for him to go. I don't care how good a Senior Bowl he had, he just didn't prove enough during the season. He could go to the Packers in the 2nd round, though.)

i'm going to reply to your reply's lol. First of all alot of people seem to think Benson will go number 2. Ronnie Brown is the overall best rb in the draft and should go 2. Although not much better i feel a bad omen with miami taking a texas rb. Secondly Frye from Akron could go very early...as high as the Oakland pick...he put up stellar numbers his senior year and there has been a good history of MAC qb's excelling in the NFL. Don't be surprised to see him go in the first round to either Oakland or Green Bay.

No way Fyre is going to selected by the Raiders. The Raiders has Collins for a reason. Every first year for him on every team he has struggled. Carolina a Rookie, 3 years later lead the Panthers to the conference finals i think, and in New York, second year, Super Bowl. Watch out without injures in the WR corps and a good Running game watch for the Raiders to turn around a horrid to seasons.

ronnie brown could possibly be the best running back, but as teams fill voids he or carnell are going to slip. With all the DBs and Safteys in the draft along with all the Front line guys. the talent is there for a great player to fall. the two qbs that are going to be taken the first round are smith and rodgers. To look at the Packers selecting a QB high isnt exactly their history. the pack are going to get someone of waivers or trade. there is at least a reason way the Chargers dont need 2 promising Qbs.

Benson will be the first back off the board because Texas has consistantly provided the NFL with talented backs, and Benson should continue that tradition. As for Frye, he could go to the Raiders or Packers...in the third round. The guy just didn't prove enough this year in the mediocre MAC. If he is so good, how come his team didn't make even make a bowl game this year. Quarterbacks who can't even make it to a bowl game generally don't get picked in the first round of the draft. Also, Brown isn't the best back in the country. He is really, really good, but he's not exceptional. If he is so good, how come he could only manage part time duty this year? If he is great, then so is Carnell Williams. And Cadillac could go as high as No. 5, the Bucs. After that, Brown will most likely slip to the Cardinals at No. 8.

why would the second rank defense (redskins) take more defense. the need a ofensive linemen more than anything. portis is a great back and with jon jansen coming back next year a gurad would be the best pick for them or taking a ot and moving him to gurad. by the way the remark about charlie frye being overhyed means u havent seen him play. i have seen akron games and his wr just suck the are horrible!!!!. they average thmost drop passes in the mac. FRye will go first round if his combine goes good he will be a first round i bet u on that. u alos said that the pats wouldnt need a wr well i cant rember how old patten brown are please refresh my member. givens gets hurt to much and they dont need any help in the cb range. with ty law and poole and samuel i dont see why they would waste a first round pick on a cb. i would like to change one thing on my draft and it wouldbe the steelers they will take cory webster out of lsu. now to your draft. rams taken a wr no kyle orton hmm nono
jaugars 2 wordsdonovan darius heath miller will go to jacksonville watch it
no way the panthers pass up thomas davis!!! justin miller will no go that early to words 5 11 and why take him when u can get charles rodgers out of auburn DB of the year award in college football and taller no way in hell derrick jonson will be their at the 12th pick he runs a 4.5!!!!
