Deangelo Williams
I'm facing a dilema in making my mock. With zona getting edge, baltimore resigning lewis, I have williams dropping to 17 at minny which is already kinda late for a player of his calibur. But I know minny still has bennet and mo williams and onterrio smith and mewelde moore and now chester taylor. Can a vikes fan, which will prob end up being porky, help me out here and tell me if the vikes r ganna take this guy. Is chester taylor the answer? and whats the deal with all the other backs they have. I've tried to do some research but don;t have many resources and have come up empty, plus the people on this forum probably know more than most, thanks

First off, we dont have Mo or Bennett any more. We have Smith, Moore, Taylor and Fason. It depends on who else you have left in ur mock. I could see us taking Donte, McNeil/Justice, or maybe Sims. I think Childress really wanted Taylor and will stick with that but I would not complain about getting Williams in the slightest

Yeah I have Williams going #21 to the Patroits now in my most recent mock. I think the Vikings pass on him.
Ernie Sims has really jumped on boards. You want someone who has went to a 2nd round pick to a mid first. It's not Lawson it's Sims. I think Minnesota would consider taking him. He's a good fit there.
Chad Greenway, Marcus McNeil, Donte Whitner, and Winston Justice are all possiblities.

i just dont see minnesota taking a RB in the first round......even though it would be a good value pick......i think they'll go defence.....maybe chad greenway, but that may be a reach....................

Mangold should be gone by that pick. Doubtful they take 2 olineman in their first 2 picks anyway.

I agree... I think in the first round they're going LB. Someone like Ernie Sims. They reallly like him.. and he fits the defense perfect.
In round 2 then you can't rule out a QB in Croyle or a defensive player like Darnell Bing if he slips.
Maybe O-line as well.
RB is the least of my concerns with 4 on the roster all capable of production. They signed Taylor to be the future starter. I think that's who there going to go with.

Cutler should be going to Oakland or Arizona, I doubt he falls that far.
