Is Manning Truly Overrated?

Yes he hasnt won a SB and i will admit his salary way surpasses what he should get. but he is putting up some of the best numbers for someone who hasnt gotten a SB ring. he has the highest QB rating and most touchdown passes in a season for ALL TIME. seeing as how the defense was depleted with injuries the whole season especially the secondary he led them to new england where he was dominated again. the defense didnt help but manning really didnt do shit in that game. i believe if they can get to the playoffs and not have to plat AT new england this year they will win the superbowl on the arm of Peyton. then i will laugh at matrix man for calling him overrated

Well he chokes every year in NE but since i don't beleive NE will b making the playoffs this year i bet he might make it to the SB this year IF the jags don't rise up to their potential

What potncial? they have a great run defense but that isnt going to stop the colts. EDGE is way overrated and manning will destroy that weak secondary

The potncial of a young quarterback, a young group of recievers starting to look very good (except jimmy johnson or whatever) and a sweet as hell D line

like i said they have a good RUN defense that wont do anything to stop manning. Leftwich is good but they dont have any reciever. and by the way its Jimmy SMITH

Fred Taylor is a beast but the colts are going to have better LB's and a matured D line. If they draft exactly right here is what their D will look like Next year

DE-Raheem Brock- Young DE good speed a lot of potencial
DT-I have no idea. this will be the one weakness
DT-Larry Triplett- good size but lacks strength
DE-Dwight Freeney-great speed and size, the perfect DE
OLB-Cato June- Young LB again a lot of potencial, good speed and power
MLB-Barret Ruud- good tackler, decent speed but little potencial
OLB-David Thornton- good LB, solid tackler and good speed
CB-Dustin Fox- 4.4 40, 40 ich vertical and good size. need i say more?
FS-Bob Sanders- incredible speed, and a good vertical, lacks some size
SS-Mike Doss- great hitter with good speed and good vertical
CB-Fabian Washington- 4.21 40, 41.5 inch vertical, lacks size but damn he is fast

Realize this probably wont happen but if the perfect players fell this D will be at least good enough to go somewhere past NE

You really think NE is the team that Manning has the hang up aginst? Then why did Houston play them close? It isn't just NE, but you have 1 point. If they play indoors, they atleast have a better than 50-50 chance of winning a game. But, NE,Buff.,Jacksonville,NYJ,KC,Pitt...all have D's capable of stopping the COLTS. You just keep saying Manning is god. I said it 1 time,so to clearify it.

I would say manning is a graet QB. IF they got to a SB. But in the past years, Payton plays like crap in the winter. His/Colts only hope is to get home feild in the playoffs...or play an indoor team. So, if they do GREAT I like the COLTS...if they don't my point agian is Manning is way overratted because he chokes...and DAMN get off his D. They are good, but they are young and geling. But they ARE NOT on the feild when Manning is, so if he throws 3INTs in a game...you can't blame the D.

NE is the only team that can stop manning. jacksonville has no secondary, buffalo has no d line and only clements and milloy in secondary, jets have no one in secondary, KC has no D at all, and pitt can cover harrison with his speed. as for you only liking manning when he is good that makes you a bandwagoner and people like that need to be killed. go back to kissing brady's ass.
