Default My Two round Mock Rate and Comment Please

1.San Francisco 49ers - Alex Smith, QB Utah- San Francisco is interested in both QB’s and are both showing they are better than what the experts rated them. In the end they are more impressed with Smith

2. Miami Dolphins - Ronnie Brown, RB Auburn- Benson may fit better in the system but Ronnie brings more to the table and has a tremendous upside

3. Cleveland Browns - Aaron Rodgers, QB California- The Browns simply will not win with Luke McCown and will take either QB that falls to them

4. Chicago Bears - Cedric Benson, RB Texas- The Bears bought some time fixing the WR corps by signing Muhammed and use this pick to select a power runner.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mike Williams, WR USC - Griese gave the bucks passing game last year and Gruden decides to complete his new WR tandem with Williams so he can cut all of the overpaid veterans (Galloway)

6. Tennessee Titans - Braylon Edwards, WR Michigan- Tennessee is in a rebuilding stage and is preparing for the future giving Volek a solid WR to throw to.

7. Minnesota Vikings - Derrick Johnson, LB Texas- With both the top WR gone the Vikes decide to take the best player on the board. Johnson is a future Pro Bowler who will make his impact felt his Rookie season

8. Arizona Cardinals - Pac-Man Jones, CB West Virginia- Greene likes what he has on offense and is crafty enough to dig a RB out deeper in the draft. Jones gives the Cards a tough cover man who doubles covering kicks

9. Washington Redskins - Antrel Rolle, CB Miami (FL)- The Redskins lost Smoot but make up for it with drafting Rolle who has the potential to become a shutdown corner some day.|

10. Detroit Lions - Shawne Merriman, LB Maryland- The Lions have needs at LB and End and at 6-4 272lbs he can play wherever they want him to

11. Minnesota Vikings - Troy Williamson, WR South Carolina- You had to know that the Vikes weren’t going to let the third best WR pass after seeing Williams and Edwards snatched up in front of their eyes so they decide to swap picks with the Boys along with forfeiting their 2nd Rd pick. Williamson gives Culpepper a new deep threat to throw to.

12. San Diego Chargers (From NYG) - Alex Barron, OT Florida State- Barron is still raw but will use his pure athleticism to keep Carr off of his back.

13. Houston Texans - Marcus Spears, DE LSU- Spears is the perfect end to fit into the Texans 3-4 system with his blend of size and speed.

14. Carolina Panthers - Carnell Williams, RB Auburn- Carolina is pleased that the Cadillac decided to drive by. With Davis aging and Foster often injured how can they resist going for a test ride.

15. Kansas City Chiefs - Carlos Rogers, CB Auburn- Rogers could be the best cover corner in the draft but due do his reputation was rarely tested, no matter what he is an upgrade to the Chiefs D.

16. New Orleans Saints - Erasmus James, DE Wisconsin- The Saints are trying to deal Darren Howard and will probably do so, James replaces Howard and will be as good if not better.

17. Cincinnati Bengals - Travis Johnson, DT Florida St.- Johnson finally lived up to his potential during his senior year and will give the Bengals a good interior pass rush.

18. Dallas Cowboys - Jammal Brown, OT Oklahoma- The boys jump into the perfect position to snatch their right tackle and benefit by receiving Minnesota’s 2nd round pick.

19. St. Louis Rams - Khalif Barnes, OT, Washington- Turley will not return to the Rams and the Brown just was snatched the pick before.

20. Dallas Cowboys (from Buf) - Brodney Pool, S Oklahoma- Pool has the speed and ball hawking skills to play free safety allowing fellow Sooner Roy Williams to move to strong safety and play in the box more.

21. Jacksonville Jaguars - Justin Miller, CB Clemson- The Jaguars have a solid group in the front seven on defense with the exception of ends but they decide to bolster their corners by adding a good cover man.

22. Baltimore Ravens - Mark Clayton, WR Oklahoma- Mason was signed but Clayton is excellent in the slot and adds good depth until he eventually takes over the #1 wr role.

23. Seattle Seahawks - Dan Cody, DE Oklahoma- With the release of Simmons and the ageing of Chad Brown the Seahawks look for another player to mold into a Brown or Willie McGinest.
24. Green Bay Packers - Thomas Davis, S Georgia- Mark Roman isn’t good and with the losses of Sharper and Jue Davis is a steal at 24.

25. Denver Broncos - David Pollack, DE Georgia- The Broncos are still looking for a replacement for Berry and may have found one in Pollack.

26. New York Jets - Heath Miller, TE Virginia- Jets could look for a db here but Miller is an intriguing prospect and the need for a quality TE is growing in the league.

27. Atlanta Falcons - Roddy White, WR UAB- Price never developed into the #1 receiver they expected him to so they draft the best one still on the board.

28. San Diego Chargers -Darryl Blackstock, OLB, Virginia, Blackstock’s stock is soaring and played in a 3-4 system in college and excelled. Perfect fit for the bolts.

29. Indianapolis Colts - Channing Crowder, LB Florida-The Colts have enough fire power on offense to spark another world war. With this pick the bolster the other side of the ball with this talented middle linebacker.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Marlin Jackson, CB Michigan, Jackson’s stock fell after a sub par senior year but in my opinion a steal at 30.

31. Philadelphia Eagles - Marion Barber III, RB, Minnesota, My best bet is that the Eagles will trade down due to their major needs being WR and a back up RB. There is no real first round talent left at those positions but if they select a back it will be Barber.

32. New England Patriots - Odell Thurman, ILB, Georgia, another one of my screw balls. Thurman has the potential to be a great ILB and with Bruschi down and Johnson ageing this may be a good pick.

1.(33.) San Francisco 49ers - Anttaj Hawthorne DT Wisconsin
2.(34.) Cleveland Browns - Barrett Ruud ILB Nebraska
3.(35.) Philadelphia Eagles - Matt Jones TE-WR-QB Arkansas
4.(36.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Elton Brown OG Virginia
5.(37.) Tennessee Titans -Adam Terry OT Syracuse
6.(38.) Oakland Raiders - Kevin Burnett LB Tennessee
7.(39.) Chicago Bears - J.J. Arrington RB California
8.(40.) New Orleans Saints - Luis Castillo DT Northwestern
9.(41.) Detroit Lions - Marcus Johnson OT-OG Ole Miss
10.(42.) Dallas Cowboys - Demarcus Ware DE Troy
11.(43.) New York Giants - Mike Patterson DT USC
12.(44.) Arizona Cardinals - Ciatrick Fason RB Florida
13.(45.) Carolina Panthers -Josh Bullocks S ,Nebraska
14.(46.) Kansas City Chiefs - Justin Tuck DE Notre Dame
15.(47.) Houston Texans - Chris Henry WR West Virginia

19.(51.) Green Bay Packers - Bryant McFadden CB Florida St.
20.(52.) Jacksonville Jaguars - Jerome Mathis WR Hampton
21.(53.) Baltimore Ravens - Chris Spencer C Ole Miss
22.(54.) Seattle Seahawks- Chris Colmer OT North Carolina St.
23.(55.) Buffalo Bills - Alex Smith TE Stanford
24.(56.) Denver Broncos - Charlie Frye QB Akron
25.(57.) New York Jets - Brandon Browner CB Oregon St.
26.(58.) Green Bay Packers - Jason Campbell QB Auburn
27.(59.) Atlanta Falcons - Ronald Bartell CB Howard
28.(60.) Indianapolis Colts- Logan Mankins OG Fresno St.
29.(61.) San Diego Chargers - Corey Webster CB LSU
30.(62.) Pittsburgh Steelers - Reggie Brown WR Georgia
31.(63.) Philadelphia Eagles - Jeremy Parquet OT Southern Mississippi

i really dont think that mike williams will go before braylon, i just dont see it. i know there are strong feelings for both, and i am a hardcore Braylon fan. but i try to look at it without a michigan lover's mind, and i still cant see it.
