Default post combine mock

Brief explainations provided, only a first round, second round needs more work. Ask if you want further explainations.

1.Detroit Lions – Jason Smith, OT, Baylor
Don't beleive they go QB, they make the wise choice to get the best LT in the draft

2.St. Louis Rams – Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest
With spagnuolo coming in I find it very hard that they pass on IMO the best player in this draft, a team like this needs a leader/playmaker like curry.

3.Kansas City Chiefs – B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College
Pioli will build this team starting with the lines. Raji is the best lineman available on either side, and could serve as a nose tackle if their's a 3-4 transition.

4.Seattle Seahawks – Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia
With WR no longer a need and no DB worth this pick Oline is the way they go.

5.Cleveland Browns – Brian Orakpo, OLB, Texas
Best Rush OLB in the draft. Big, Strong, and Fast.

6.Cincinnati Bengals – Andre Smith, OT, Alabama
Questionable but I don't think his character concerns are as big as every makes them out to be, and At this point he's the BPA not named crabtree. He fills a need as well.

7.Oakland Raiders – Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech
kind of a no brainer.

8.Jacksonville Jaguars – Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri
Hopefully they'll get a wr who actually produces with maclin.

9.Green Bay Packers – Everette Brown, OLB, Florida State
Fills in a missing piece to the 3-4 defense.

10.San Francisco 49ers – Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia
If they feel like spending the money he'll be the pick. I think he's a bust but we'll see.

11.Buffalo Bills – Aaron Maybin, DE, Penn State
He won't play OLB, he'll contend for the DE job, and then come in on passing downs. They should trade out and get more picks.

12.Denver Broncos – Malcolm Jenkins, CB/S, Ohio State
They'll be ecstatic if they get him. Will probably end up starting at FS but Corner is possible.

13.Washington Redskins – Michael Oher, OT, Ole Miss
The general consensus is its OT or Maybin here. Another team that should trade out.

14.New Orleans Saints –Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois
In resigning Vilma they pass on Rey or JLaur and go next best corner.

15.Houston Texans – Brian Cushing, LB, USC
Fills the void left by Morlon Greenwood's departure.

16.San Diego Chargers - Rey Maualuga, MLB, USC
Opt to go defense over RB. Maybe not the biggest need but a great player.

17.New York Jets – Mark Sanchez, QB, USC
Tough choice but they pull the trigger on him and take the qb. Clemens just isn't going to cut it.

18.Chicago Bears – Darius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland
Hester isn'y a complete receiver and brandon lloyd is no stud.

19.Tampa Bay Bucs – Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss
They really need run stuffing help.

20.Detroit Lions – James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State
Best Defensive player available and a leader.

21.Philadelphia Eagles – Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest
Could use some youth and depth at corner, could challenge for the starting spot. Bit of a luxury pick.

22.Minnesota Vikings – Percy Harvin, WR, Florida
They need a dynamic playmaker on offense other than AD.

23.New England Patriots – Connor Barwin, OLB/TE, Cincinnati
Mike Vrabel clone who queitly had an amazing combine.

24.Atlanta Falcons – Clay Matthews, OLB, USC
After losing boley and Brooking theyll jump all over him.

25.Miami Dolphins – Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU
Holliday is getting old, they could use youth at the position.

26.Baltimore Ravens– D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt
Secondary has NO depth.

27.Indianapolis Colts – Eben Britton, OT, Arizona
They're tackles aren;t anything to brag about and the run game didn't produce like it should have.

28.Philadelphia Eagles – Beanie Wells, RB, Ohio State
They neeeed a big back.

29.New York Giants – Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia
Replaces Ward in earth wind and fire.

30.Tennessee Titans – Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech
They always tend to reach for people.

31.Arizona Cardinals – Larry English, OLB, Northern Illinois
Bit of a tweener fits their hybrid schemes nicely

32.Pittsburgh Steelers– Alex Mack, C, California
Power run blocker helps replace what they lost on the line in recent years.

I agree with your top three. I think it will be those three players in a various order. I can see Curry going first, but I think St. Louis takes him if Detroit doesn't. I like Raji to KC for the 3-4, but I believe he could play DE in the scheme as well. I like his versatility in it.

Wow. I believe Andre Smith's character concerns are huge. One has to question his commitment to a team and then just his common sense. What type of decisions is he going to make? He's thrown himself into the later part of the top 10, if not into the top 15.

I personally believe if any team will value Percy Harvin, it's Chicago. I think they need the type of versatility he can show and the variety of ways he can make plays. He's another Reggie Bush. Only reason he's not regarded as high as Bush is cause he played a variety of positions in college, so NFL teams struggle with projecting where he should line up. NFL scouts don't like what they don't know. The answer? Line him up everywhere. Plus, he's much more versatile than Hester and I think could compliment him with his skill set. Heyward-Bey is the same receiver Hester is.

I'm on a short list here, but I believe Philly would go Moreno over Wells. Sure... they need a power back. Moreno can run with power, though, and he can catch the ball out of the backfield -- something Philly wants out of all of its backs. Not just Westbrook.

moreno is a pretty complete back. he can power it up the middle if needed, but the question is can he do it all game long? that I don't know. Moreno's speciality is his agility as well, he'd rather juke you than run you over, where wells will run into you or jump over you. They have about the same straight line speed, but moreno has much better lateral movement and speed. It's a toss up, and you could be right, but I'm going to leave it for now, because if it comes down to it philly needs the consistant between the tackles bruiser more than another pass catcher. You definately could end up correct though.

As an aside I'd like to note the most likely trade scenarios I see

1. Seattle (4) to GB(9) or Buff(11).
Seattle could still get one of the top 4 tackles and GB or Buff would move ahead of cleveland for choice of orakpo, maybin, or brown.

2. Denver(12) to Cincy(6).
If B.J. Raji is around at pick 6 and denver really wants him I could see cincy passing to get more picks and drafting a tackle at 12.

3. Tampa(19) or Detroit(20) to Wash(13).
This is about sanchez. Tampa or detoit gets ahead of new york for him, and washington takes oher, smith, britton, or english at 19/20.

4. Ravens(26) to Giants(29).
Puts the giants ahead of indy and philly's second pick to most likely get choice rb in the draft (Moreno). Won't happen if philly picks him at 21. Worth it for ravens because they'll still get Harvin, DHB, or DJ Moore at 29, and pick up an extra 3rd or 4th.

GB has traded up only one time since Ted Thompson took over as GM. They've traded down so many times that I can't tell you off the top of my head. I think GB could move down for a guy like Tyson Jackson, Peria Jerry, Clay Matthews, or Larry English.
