Merling's stock is crumbling much to the demise of Mel Kiper, who won't stop hyping the guy. Merling isn't going to be able to workout for scouts before the draft. That's a huge red flag. Teams don't like it when they can't see a prospect personally. I have him falling into the second round.
Brohm to Seattle is interesting. It's also a possibility. I think it'll be strange if Brohm falls out of the first round. I expect someone to trade back into the round if he drops too far. An interesting draft strategy I've been pondering lately is Atlanta taking Glenn Dorsey with their first pick and then packaging a combination of their three second round picks to move into the late first and snag Brohm. Then again, Atlanta might not want a thing to do with Louisville ever. I have Brohm going to Tampa, but where he ends up is as big of a mystery as any in this draft right now.
I like Trevor Laws to Jacksonville. I think Laws will be a first round pick. If Jax doesn't get him then I expect the Pack to do so.
I love Chris Johnson to the Cowboys. I have the same pick. Actually, both our Cowboys picks are the same. Johnson is well ahead of Felix Jones now. Jones is a less versatile version of Reggie Bush. Like Bush, he can't run inside the tackles. Johnson can, plus he's faster, stronger, has just as good of hands as Jones and is also a good punt returner.
I'm trying to figure out Flowers in the first round. I don't get the hype. He's small and not very fast or quick. He's got skills, but I don't think they're first round skills. More like third.
I still think Connor is a top 20 pick.
I think if Mario Manningham is on the board then San Fran will gobble him up without second thought. He fixed his biggest combine negative at his pro day. I have him going in the top 20. I know many will disagree, but he's dynamic and I think after seeing him fix his 40 at the combine and seeing what kind of WR he was on film, someone is going to take him early.

I LOVE the Brohm to Seattle pick. I've hated seeing Kentwan Balmer projected to the Seahawks. I think that if Brian Brohm fell to them, and they can't find an adequate trade offer, they'd pull the trigger, much in the same way that the Packers took Aaron Rodgers.
I think that with Malcolm Kelly's stock falling, there won't be a receiver taken until at least 14 with the Bears, but more likely 19. Also, I don't think Sweed is the best prospect at this point. I've seen Devin Thomas to the Bills, which I don't like, but I feel that Thomas is a better prospect.
I think that Philip Merling and Calais Campbell will both go in the 1st round, despite their bad or lacking combines/pro days. So I agree with you on one.
I agree with NYJets, and disagree with Cubuffsman in your assessment of Mario Manningham. I like Manningham, and at one time I liked him to SF in the first. Now, however, I see either he or Doucet to the 49'ers in the early 2nd. I think both would fit Martz system well, and one will be available at their pick in the 2nd, so neither has great value at 29, for the 49'ers.
I'm really not buying this Felix Jones out of the first round talk. I think he'll be a Cowboy, and I think he'll be taken at 22. I wouldn't be surprised I suppose to see Charles or Johnson taken in the first, but clearly that would be a team trading up.

I would switch Talib and Cromartie. With recent reports of Talib failing multiple drug tests I dont see how someone takes him in the Top 10.

I'd switch Talib and McKelvin. McKelvin, while coming from a smaller school in Troy has bumped his way up to arguably the top CB in the class. Bowler brings up a good point that Talib has failed some tests, which will drop Talib some.
Merling's probably late 1st round, he's not working out like cubbs said, so that's what's dropping him.
I kinda think Jenkins should be higher. Maybe flop him and Talib, and switch Jenkins with Cromartie. To me the cornerback rankings are: McKelvin, Jenkins, Cromartie, and Talib.
Malcolm Kelly was also falling due to an injury and was supposed to run today or tomorrow, which could impact his draft stock either way.
I'm liking the Albert pick for Pittsburgh. He'd step right in for Faneca, however, Albert will probably be gone by the time we pick.
Never really considered Brohm to Seattle. I think that once he falls past Chicago, he'll go to the second round because certain teams don't have immediate needs at QB, but Seattle is an interesting destination for him.
Ha, Cherilus to San Diego. According to Saint in my mock draft thread: "Gosder Cherilus makes me want to puke". I don't see anything wrong with the pick as they need a RT, I just thought Saint's comment was funny and had to bring it up again.
Good mock for not having a computer for around three months.

Malcolm Kelly did run today and it's safe to say he's not going to be picked at 11. He ran 4.68 40 then didn't take responsibility for it and blamed the university instead for having a bad setup. Much slower than expected and also very immature response. He's late first round at best.
