my latest 2 rounder
1. Miami Dolphins – Chris Long, DE, Virginia
I have no doubt this pick will be traded, but long is best D player available
2. St. Louis Rams – Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio State
Wowed in workouts, impact defensive played rams need
3. Atlanta Falcons – Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College
Obvious pick
4. Oakland Raiders – Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas
RB over OT, that's how Al Davis rolls
5. Kansas City Chiefs –Jake Long, OT, Michigan
No Brainer
6. New York Jets – Sedrick Ellis, DT/E, USC
Plays 3-4 DE, NT on passing downs. Pass on Dorsey due to injury concerns.
7. New England Patriots – Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie, CB/FS, Tennessee State
Stock is way way up and pats need a DB
8. Baltimore Ravens – Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy
Rolle and McAllister are getting old and there is no depth behind them.
9. Cincinnati Bengals – Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU
DT is a huge hole on defense, a defense that cant stop the run.
10. New Orleans Saints – Keith Rivers, M/OLB, USC
Added Vilma but are still weak on the outisde. Rivers is a better prospect than Jenkins.
11. Buffalo Bills – Limas Sweed, WR, Texas
I rate him out higher than Kelly, the two WR's that would fit in Buff.
12. Denver Broncos – Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State
Fits the ZBS well and fills a need.
13. Carolina Panthers – Kentwan Balmer, DT, North Carolina
Kris Jenkins signed with the Jets and there isn't any depth.
14. Chicago Bears – Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois
Cedric Benson was a bust and this kid is a stud.
15. Detroit Lions –Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh
OT is a glaring hole right now... ask Jon Kitna
16. Arizona Cardinals –Mike Jenkins, CB, South Florida
Teams up with Antrelle Role, also maybe plays a little FS. Special team threat also.
17. Minnesota Vikings – Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson
Once again DE is a big need and I rate him better than Harvey.
18. Houston Texans – Chris Williams, OT, Vandy
Say what you want that it was David Carr and the line is fine now but they still don't have a premier tackle.
19. Philadelphia Eagles – Dan Conner, M/OLB, Penn State
Need Filler. About the right spot for him.
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville
Makes it into the first round, Garcia has been old for years...
21. Washington Redskins - Malcolm Kelly, WR, Oklahoma
Compliments all their speed guys well.
22. Dallas Cowboys – Aquib Talib, CB, Kansas
Starts as the nickel before he'll win the starting spot opposite Newman. Playmaker.
23. Pittsburgh Steelers – Sam Baker, OT, USC
I don't rate any gaurds out as top 30 talent, so tackle is the pick.
24. Tennessee Titans – Desean Jackson, WR, California
Wow, Vince Young finally has a legit target.
25. Seattle Seahawks – Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon
Shaun's days appear to be over...
26. Jacksonville Jaguars – Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida
I put him back into the first, helps sustain that intimidating factor the Jags DLine has had in recent years.
27. San Diego Chargers – Reggie Smith, S, Oklahoma
Fits better than Phillips because he can play FS or corner, and FS and nickelback are the DB positions SD needs starters at.
28. Dallas Cowboys – Devin Thomas, WR, Michigan State
Cowboys fans seem to get a boner over this pick. Seems like a good fit here.
29. San Francisco 49ers – James Hardy, WR, Indiana
They need a WR that can catch something.
30. Green Bay Packers – Erin Henderson, OLB, Maryland
Completes the LB trio with Hawk and Barnett.
31. New England Patriots – No Pick
Stupid Cheaters who my GMEN beat
32. New York Giants – Kenny Phillips, S, Miami
FA hurts... great value here.
Round 2
33. Miami – Jerod Mayo, MLB, Tennessee
Needs a guy to replace Thomas, Mayo has been graded out first round.
34. St. Louis – Carl Nicks, OT, Nebraska
Tackle seems to be a problem since Pace cant stay healthy
35. Kansas City – Brandon Albert, OG, Virginia
Best OT and OG of the draft. KC back on the map.
36. Atlanta – Dustin Keller, TE, Purdue
Best TE in draft. Replaces Crumpler, gives young QB big target.
37. New York Jets – Tracy Porter, CB, Indiana
CB is still a need even with revis.
38. Oakland – Early Doucett, WR, LSU
With jerry porter leaving why not give Russell one of his former targets.
39. Baltimore – Joe Flacco, QB, Delaware
Um, one qb is old, the other one sucks. Flacco is young and doesnt suck.
40. San Fransisco – Quentin Groves, DE/OLB
Stock back up after falling, SF needs a 3-4 OLB opposite Lawson.
41. New Orleans – Trevor Laws, DT, Notre Dame
Another stock way up guy, DT is a hole.
42. Buffalo – Fred Davis, TE, USC
Kevin Everett probably won't play again, no other TE that's decent.
43. Denver – Phillip Wheeler, LB, Georgia Tech
Plays MLB so DJ Williams can go to OLB where he is much better.
44. Carolina – Chad Henne, QB, Michigan
Who knows with Delhome, Carr sure isn't the answer.
45. Chicago - Chilo Rachal, OG, USC
Gaurd is the downfall of the line.
46. Detroit – Lawrence Jackson, DE, USC
Needed a DE for a while. Good value here.
47. Cincinnati – Tavares Gooden, LB, Miami
I'm higher on him than most... they need a guy with range cause most of their D can't tackle.
48. Minnesota – Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona
Seems like DE and Corner are the needs for Minny every year...
49. Atlanta – Gosder Cherilus, OT, Boston College
COntinue buildin that offense...
50. Philadelphia – Mario Mannigham, WR, Michigan
Add him to the list of second round WR's
51. Arizona – Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas
Insurance, because James aint getting younger.
52. Washington – Jason Jones, DE, Eastern Michigan
Might fit better in a 3-4, but best DE available right now
53. Tampa Bay – Anthony Collins, OT, Kansas
LT is a need.
54. Cleveland – Cliff Avril, OLB, Purdue
Will play the other 3-4 OLB opposite Wimbley
55. Pittsburgh – Patrick Lee, CB, Auburn
Corner is again a need.
56. Tennessee – Curtis Lofton, ILB, Oklahoma
No good MLB on the roster
57. Seattle – John Carlson, TE, Notre Dame
Marcus Pollard is not the long term TE
58. Jacksonville - Calais Campbell, DE, Miami
Will move him to DT since hes fat and slow yet has talent
59. Miami – Red Bryant, NT, Texas A&M
Need a NT, defense is gettin an overhaul
60. Dallas – Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas
Falls to them in rnd 2 when ppl have him in 1... interesting huh...
61. Indianapolis – Roy Schuening, OG, Oregon State
Gaurd is about their only weak position.
62. Green Bay – Brandon Flowers, CB, Virginia Tech
Corner is a need even if they wont admit it... see baltimore's first round pick.
63. New England – Charles Godfrey, CB, Iowa
Guy who I think is overlooked.
64. New York Giants – Ali Highsmith, OLB, LSU
OLB is a HUGE need.
