Offical 2009 NFL Draft Predection Thread
We did this before and I think its a good idea for the draft this year as well. Usually some pretty accurate predections are made. Also, if a mod could pin this that would be great.
Remember, try to predict something that is outside the box a bit. Don't predict "Matthew Stafford will be drafted in round 1." That doesn't count. I'll start things off.
Ray Maualuga isn't taken til the 2nd round.
Mark Sanchez is taken with the 8th pick, but not by the Jaguars.
Josh Freeman is taken with the 18th pick, but not by the Broncos.
Your turn.

Josh Freeman doesn't get drafted til the 2nd round.
Brian Robiskie gets drafted before Hakeem Nicks and Kenny Britt.
Tampa gets Sanchez, whether that means he falls or they trade up for him, he will be a Buc. Also, even the Bronco's have 2 chances to draft him, they won't.

I pretty much agree with Bowler on every single one except I think Freeman goes between 10 and 15.
I'll go outside of the box here. Of course I think 7 offensive lineman go in round 1 and Maualuga will fall out of round one, but I think that's really a non surprise to some.
Here are some thoughts....
Tyson Jackson will be a Green Bay Packer and it could be at No. 9.
Robert Ayers goes to a 3-4 team as an outside linebacker.
Philadelphia makes one of these trades.
No. 21 to Buffalo for Jason Peters.
No. 28 to Cleveland for Braylon Edwards.

I'll play...
Three players from San Jose State will be drafted before one from Notre Dame, Miami or Michigan comes off the board.
Stephen McGee will be one of the first five QBs selected and will be off the board before the fifth round starts.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will not select Mark Sanchez. I will project it as so, but someone will hold and take him before the Jags, trade up in front of the Jags to get him or trade with the Jags for him.
Percy Harvin will not fall past the Ravens at 26.
Brandon Pettigrew won't go in the first round.
Pat White will not fall past the Cowboys with the fifth pick in the third rond, much to this Cowboys fan's demise.
The most recognizable name not drafted will be Graham Harrell.
I'll add more if they come to me... I think these are fairly bold...

Maybin goes to Cleveland.
Eagles trade out of the first round and grab RB Donald Brown in the second round.
Stafford falls to the Texans and goes home to play.
Sanchez goes to Seattle.
Patriots take Frantz Joseph early in the second round.
Percy harvin falls out of the first round and winds up wearing a star on his helmet.

Houston isn't home for Stafford. He's from Highland Park -- the richest Dallas suburb.
