What can Denver get for Cutler?
The day has finally come.
If Cutler is going to continue to act this way, then good-riddens trade him. I am extremely upset in the potential that Cutler and the Denver offense had.
However, its time to move on. I'm excited to see what value the Broncos can get for him.
If I was GM, and I know I'm no where near talented enough to do so, I command talented players right now. Taking drafts picks for an All-Pro is just too risky for me. I wanted solid NFL talent.
What do you think teams like the Bears, Lions, Jets, Bucs, Jags (reported to be interested), Browns, Redskins (if actually interested), or others might give?

Well since Denver laid out their hand on this one, I think Cutler's value just took a nose dive. I have a feeling it'll be as simple as a 1st round pick.

I think alot of teams could get involved in a bidding war.
But again, I dont think that the Broncos are looking for draft picks. They hold the 12th pick and have an outside chance to land Shanchez at that spot. Xanders is usually as good as anyone when getting value in trades.
It will be interesting for sure.

One "high-profile" player agent told the Denver Post that he could see the Broncos demanding two first-round picks and a second-rounder for Jay Cutler.
"I could see a first and a second this year, and a first next year," he said. "If you're looking at some unknown kid in the draft, you'd much rather have Cutler. You're talking about a quarterback who's athletic and talented."

I think the trade will be with cleveland. Its going to go as follows
Cleveland gets:
Jay Cutler
pick 48 (WR)
Denver gets:
Brady Quinn
Pick 5 (B.J. Raji)
pick 36 (3-4 D player)
Or
Cleveland gets:
Jay Cutler
Eddie Royal
pick 48 (defensive player)
Denver gets:
Brady Quin
Braylon Edwards
Pick 5 (B.J. Raji)
those are possibilities I see happening, or something to that effect.
The other is detroit, which would look like this
Detroit gets:
Jay Cutler
Denver Gets:
Pick 1 (B.J. Raji or Aaron Curry)
Pick 20 (Rey Maualuga, clay matthews, tyson jackson,)
They'd take sanchez or stafford at 12

I think you have Detroit surrendering too much for Cutler. I think one pick would go not a second unless the Broncos surrender the 12th pick to replace it.
I think Cleveland makes the most sense, though. I don't think the Browns give up their first for Cutler. Quinn, maybe Shaun Rogers and a middle round pick. Maybe I undervalue Cutler, but I think surrendering a bunch of draft picks is a bad idea.
There are reports the Broncos are considering going with Chris Simms as the starting QB next season. If that's true, then the potential suitors become limitless.

One thing I'm sure of it that the Broncos will not trade Eddie Royal.

What a horrible situation for the Broncos to be in. That Offense had a chance to be great. Finding another franchise QB is going to be tough. I think if there is a trade it will be made with Cleveland or Detroit.

I'll agree with that. With Marshall's frequent idiocy, Royal becomes very valuable to the Broncos.

If he's where he wants to be cutler's value is huge. But finding a good spot is the problem. I mean Cutler might have the best arm in football, and he's very young. As much as I don't like him, he's worth a lot, and I think a team who is desperate to win might end up overpaying for him. If denver does go Simms that changes a lot because then they wont draft a qb and wont need to get one, so they can get players for the 3-4 and more draft picks. Its rumored the jets are negotiating to offer the 17th pick and david harris.
