Default Andre Smith

I've seen two different contrasting news media today about his pro day.

This Yahoo article says he had a pitiful pro day. His numbers were awful is just about everything. They even go on to say that he could have moved himself back into day two of the draft. While that seems like a lot, you never know with Andre Smith.

At the same time I saw a nfl.com video that has the reporter saying that he had a good day. And Mike Mayock saying that while there are still plenty of red flags, he is still his 3rd ranked OT.

Anybody know which is more accurate?

From what I've read, there are mixed reviews and further looks at him are going to be necessary.,

He was terrible in workout drills. I don't care about a 40 time with a lineman. However, he didn't show lateral quickness in the cone or shuttle drill and only benched 225 19 times. He has long arms, but he should still put up a bigger showing than that. In comparison, Phil Loadholt has a similar wingspan and repped 26.

He weight 325 pounds, but there are still questions about his physique.

Apparently, his position drills were good enough for scouts to take another look, but some teams are still not interested in him because of what he pulled at the combine.

I think he's No. 4 amongst OTs and is going in the top 15 at the earliest.

Personally, Mayock has proven himself to be the best in the business over and over again so I don't doubt him like I do yahoo.

I think Smith and Oher are really neck and neck. It depends on the team. I think San Francisco would value Smith because he is better on film and Mike Singletary strikes me as a guy who believes in his ability to coach players.

I think Green Bay may prefer Michael Oher who could fill in at RT this year assuming Mark Tauscher darts to Minnesota like every other Packer. He then could move to LT when Clifton is done which is probably next year.
