Default Kelly and Smith disappoint in Pro Days

Malcolm Kelly and Reggie Smith both hurt their stock a bit at today's Pro Day at Oklahoma University.

Kelly ran a 4.68 and had a vertical of 32. It's said he ran good routes and caught the ball well, though.

Smith ran a 4.61 and looks the part of a strong safety in the NFL now. He did run a 4.03 shuttle, though, which tells me he could be a good cover 2 CB. It's well known he's a good tackler. He still has second round value for the right team and scheme.

Hard to gauge where Kelly will fall. I have him in the second round still. I was never high on the guy and made that well known. I find him very inconsistent on film, but the potential is there. Honestly, he might be underrated now. A 4.68 40 will have several teams dropping him. I've seen some reports sending him to the third round. He's a better prospect than that though. I think mid-second is a good value for him.

I think Kelly is probably a 1st round pick to a team like Tennessee yet. I really think he had a lot to gain by going as high as #11 to Buffalo but that seems unlikely now.

This receiver class continue to look very plain. I'll probably project Devin Thomas as my first receiver off the board now but even he has that "one hit wonder" type of label.

Reggie Smith at SS ehh I'm really disappointed in him. I was thinking Packers at #31 as a possible spot at the latest. Even now I still believe he has the 1st round ability. It seems like the past few years teams are starting to slowly shy away from 40 times if the guy is good on film, which from what I can tell, Smith is. Much like the receiver class, the safety class takes a huge hit on this one too.

I'd have expected Kelly to at least be in the 4.5s, coming off an injury. Probably late-1st, early 2nd.
