http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/sha...y_the_fal.html
New Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff called “tails” in a coin flip tiebreaker with the Oakland Raiders at 7:30 this morning to land the No. 3 pick in the April 26-27 draft. Oakland will select No. 4, Kansas City, which shared 4-12 records with Atlanta and Oakland, will choose fifth.
Just wanted to let you guys know.

If Atlanta goes with McFadden it could push Matt Ryan out of the top 5.

Kansas City might pull a shocker and take Ryan, but I doubt it. Ryan will probably go to Baltimore if Atlanta goes McFadden.

It would be sweet if the Falcons made a play for Derek Anderson then took McFadden.

The Falcons are going to pick up McFadden which im pretty sure hes going to slip down to them cause Miami is not going to pick him up and idk if they are going to trade that number one spot, and the Rams look like they are leaning towards a defensive selection, that means the Raiders will probably pick Dorsey and for the Chiefs look like they need an offensive lineman so we will see what happens

I wouldn't count Dorsey as a lock. There is a lot of money spent on a high round pick. Depends on who wants to take the risk of what could possibly happen to Dorsey.

Yeah I think that's a safe bet. I don't know if Atlanta will go with McFadden though. If you have a huge need at RB and QB, you always take the QB. Even in this case Ryan would probably be the better pick because it's a QB league.
I still like McFadden to Oakland. I saw ESPN drop him to the Jets because the Raiders resigned Justin Fargas. Yeah Justin Fargas or Darren McFadden. Real tough one there. Plus two back systems in the NFL are becoming a trend and you know the Raiders will run the ball with Russell at QB for his first whole year.

Oakland seems like a better fit for McFadden anyway. Justin Fargas is really the only running back on their roster, since I belive Lamont Jordan is a free agent. Atlanta has Jerious Norwood and Warrick Dunn and they would have to get rid of one to make room for McFadden.

I don't see what is so bad about Norwood. If they can find a power back to pair with him, Atlanta might have quite the duo.
