Matt (Cincinnati, OH)
I've been offered Roddy White and Donnie Avery for either Tony Gonzalez or Brent Celek. What do I do?

The Jungle
I don't see a point in carrying two tight ends on a fantasy roster unless it's your starters' bye week. In this case, Gonzalez' s and Celek's bye week have come and gone. Now is the time to move one of them and this deal looks promising. I like White going forward and I think the Falcons' offense is really going to get going. I think it's going to be so good that owning both Gonzalez and White wouldn't bother me. That's a risky call as owning players from the same team can lead to inconsistent results. I'd still roll the dice though as I really like them both, but if you want to play it safe, trading Gonzalez and keeping Celek is not a bad move either. Either option is a win because White is still a top 10-20 receiver going forward and both tight ends are top ten.

Torr (Chantilly, VA)
My question is which two backs do I start: DeAngelo Williams, Glenn Coffee, or Jerome Harrison?

The Jungle
All three are very solid plays for week five, so you should be alright know matter what options you go with, but I like Williams against Washington this week. I think Carolina is going to get their run game going and Williams could have a nice day. Despite his struggles in gaining yards, he has two touchdowns in three games this year.

Coffee would be my No. 2 back against Atlanta rather than Harrison against Buffalo. San Francisco is committed to the run even without Frank Gore and Coffee could get it going this week against a Falcon defense that is vulnerable up the middle. They're 25th against the run.

Slappy (Nashville, TN)
Would you start Percy Harvin or Pierre Garcon?

The Jungle
This might be the biggest toss up question I got all year. I like both matchups, but I'm going with Garcon because Indianapolis can't run the ball very well, whereas, Minnesota is committed to running the ball.

Brad Childress is playing it safe with Brett Favre's arm so I don't expect a lot of throws against St. Louis. They should get up early and stay up most of that game. The Colts, on the other hand, will air it out against Tennessee's 31st ranked pass defense. Garcon should be involved often as Manning appears primed to throw for 300 yards again.

Jon (San Jose, CA)
Who should I start on defense between the Jets and 49ers?

The Jungle
Neither defense has disappointed so far and both are top ten defenses for this week on my rankings, but the Jets are higher. It might be by one spot, but the matchup against Chad Henne is just to big of an advantage for the Jets. Miami is going to be really one dimensional and if Rex Ryan can stop Tom Brady, I can't imagine what he could do to Henne.

Will (Ft. Walton Beach, FL)
Who do I start between Steve Smith of the Giants and Derrick Mason? Smith seems the easy pick at first, but Eli Manning is banged up this week and the Bengals have actually been worse against the pass than the Raiders.

The Jungle
Smith is fast becoming a must start regardless of his opponent. He leads the NFL in several categories and you can make the arguement that he and Reggie Wayne are the two best fantasy receivers going so far in this very young season. I like Mason against the Bengals, but not enough to bench Smith.

Tom (Fairfax, VA)
Should I keep Ladell Betts on my bench or drop him for Rashard Mendenhall?

The Jungle
You've got to go get Mendenhall right now. He's certainly the Steelers' future at runningback and if he keeps running like he has, the future will be this season.

MC (Baltimore, MD)
Who should I start in a PPR league between Mario Manningham and Santana Moss?

The Jungle
I'd be surprised if the Giants don't lay it on the Raiders pretty good this week. He should be in your lineup, especially since the Giants haven't passed the ball this well since Eli Manning became their quarterback.

Sam (Wichita, KS)
Thanks for the help last week! Which two backs should I start between Rashard Mendenhall, Clinton Portis, Carnell Williams, and DeAngelo Williams? I want to start Mendenhall for sure as long as Parker doesn't interfere, but what if he does?

The Jungle
I don't think Parker is going to interfere in Mendenahall's touches as long as Mendenhall keeps playing well going forward. Pittsburgh didn't draft him in the first-round to sit the bench, they drafted him to play. Last week was the first time he lived up to that first-round status. Lucky for him, Detroit is on the schedule this week and they gave up 48 points against Chicago. I think Pittsburgh could do some similar things, so I agree with you in starting Mendenhall.

I also really like Williams this week. Washington is 22nd against the run and as I mentioned in a different question, Williams has scored a touchdown in two of Carolina's three games. I think he'll have his best game of the season thus far on Sunday and I could him making it three of four.

John Pinson (Austin, TX)
Who should my two starters be between Cedric Benson, Michael Turner, and Jerome Harrison? I think Harrison is money, but Benson could get shut down.

The Jungle
I agree with your analysis of Benson. Baltimore has the best run defense in football over the first quarter of the season and I'm not doubting the Ravens' ability to stop Benson or anyone for that matter.

I'm not sold on Harrison after one big game, but the matchup is much better than Benson's. Likewise with Turner who faces a tough 49er defense, but the matchup is still better than Benson's. Plus, Atlanta has had two weeks to prepare for the game against San Francisco. I could see Turner doing some good things.

Octavis (Columbias, SC)
My two quarterbacks are Tom Brady and David Garrard. My starting defense is the Denver Broncos. Is it a better decision to play Garrard or do you think Brady is going to out perform the Broncos?

The Jungle
Great question. I never start my defense against my quarterback or runningback. It makes little sense because it'll limit the points of someone. I do think Brady is going to play well against Denver's defense. He started to flash some things last week and Denver's defense hasn't faced an offense like New England's. Let's face it, Dallas' offense hasn't been that great this year and that was Denver's first alleged test.

I would recommend finding a different defense via free agency and starting Brady. If that's not a realistic option, you could play the risks. I happen to think Garrard is a respectable play this week and the combination of Garrard and the Broncos defense at least gives your team more potential.
