Regina (Philly, PA)
Should I start Reggie Bush or Derrick Ward in week three?
The Jungle
This is a decision that you might have to make an hour before kickoff. If Ward starts for Tampa Bay, I think he'll have a better day than Bush. However, if Cadillac Williams is good to go, Ward's role becomes limited. Bush's role in New Orleans is pretty much set regardless. He'll get some carries, but probably not most of them because he just can't run in between the tackles. He's a better threat in the passing game though which gives him the edge over a limited Ward. Go with Ward if he starts and Bush if he doesn't.
Collin (Salisbury, MD)
Who do I start between Brett Farve and Kurt Warner?
The Jungle
The two old guys are getting it done, but one actually goes down field while the other has been dumping the ball off just about every throw. I think I'd take my chance on the guy that throws down field. For the first time in his career, that's not Favre. Indianapolis' defense has benefited from playing two teams that don't throw the ball much so their No. 1 passing defense rating is a bit misleading. Arizona's passing game is one of the best in the league and I think they'll be in a shootout against the Colts. Favre faces a tough 49ers' defense and I think that game will be more low scoring. Everything points to Warner having the better game.
Justin (Chesapeake, VA)
Who should I start in week three between Devery Henderson and Patrick Crayton?
The Jungle
The Cowboys' receivers didn't do much against the Giants last week and while I think they'll be better against Carolina in week three, that inconsistency is just something Tony Romo is going to have the live with. Henderson is the exact opposite. It seems like he's good for at least one big play a game and with Lance Moore out, he's Drew Brees' No. 2 receiving option. Start Henderson and keep an eye on him all year long.
Skip (Pittsburgh, PA)
I have been offered Justin Gage for Brandon Marshall. Would this be a good trade for me?
The Jungle
It would be an awful trade for you. Marshall is starting slow, but keep in mind, he didn't have much of an off season at all. He'll come around eventually now that everything appears to be going much more smoothly in Denver. Gage is a decent No. 3 fantasy receiver, but Tennessee is a running team. On the other hand, Denver is much more balanced which will gives Marshall more opportunities than Gage. Don't make a decision based off of two games.
Ryan (Cincinnati, OH)
Should I start Darren Sproles over Steve Slaton?
The Jungle
With LaDainian Tomlinson out again, Sproles will continue to get a lot of touches for San Diego. I like both as No. 2 backs this week and both could put up solid numbers, but Sproles is a bigger threat in the passing game and that gives him the edge. Still, Miami's run defense has been solid so I wouldn't object to someone using Slaton over Sproles if they have a hunch he'll get it going this week.
Baller G (Los Angeles, CA)
Which three should I start at receiver between Chad Ochocinco, Hines Ward, Jericho Cotchery, and DeSean Jackson?
The Jungle
If Jackson doesn't play then you really don't have a choice obviously, but if he does, I would still start him. I think he's good for a big play or two against Kansas City and maybe a touchdown. I also like the revitalized Ochocinco and Cotchery over Ward. Tennessee's defense has given up a lot of yards through the air so Cotchery has the upside to do well.
Bill M (Bayside, NY)
Can you give me your advice on who you would start if this was your team?
QB: Jay Cutler
WR: Dwayne Bowe
WR: Percy Harvin
WR: Lee Evans
RB: Matt Forte
RB: Steve Slaton
TE- Tony Gonzalez
W/R- Fred Jackson
BN: Kevin Walter
BN: Jonathan Stewart
BN: Chansi Stuckey
BN: Rashard Mendenhall
BN: Pierre Garcon
The Jungle
I agree with how you have it setup right now. It looks good to go although monitor Harvin's status for this week. If he doesn't go, Garcon would be my next choice. Beyond that, it looks good. Make sure to keep Jackson in there as he could have a huge game.
Norbert (Lahaina, HI)
Who should I start in week three between Laurent Robinson and Derrick Mason?
The Jungle
The Packers' secondary is banged up on the backend, but I still like Mason against the Browns. He had 13 catches for 178 yards and a touchdown in two games against them a year ago. |
