Gonzalez was brought in too catch passes, not block. I don't care what is coming out Georgia right now. I know Atlanta will run probably as much as anyone this year, but Gonzalez is not going to turn into Daniel Graham. He's still one of the three best fantasy tight ends and I wouldn't oppose anyone selecting him as high as round four. Maybe three depending the size of your league.
Last season, Gonzalez was the best tight end in football. He had 96 catches for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. It'll be hard to top that and I don't think he will, but he's going to still end up putting up receiver quality numbers at tight end. Matt Ryan is also a star in the making. If Gonzalez can play like a receiver with Tyler Thigpen, he can be similar in a running offense with Ryan tossing him the rock.
