Despite his respectable 1,000 yard and seven touchdown season, Ward isn't as valuable in fantasy football as he might be in actual reality. It's well known that Ward is a great blocker and will do anything he's asked to do, but you don't get points for that in your league. Santonio Holmes emerged in the post-season last year as the Steelers' No. 1 receiver and I feel that will carry over to the 2009 regular season. Unfortunately, Ward won't benefit from that. Draft him as a reserve.
