Johnson has never caught more than eight touchdowns in a single season. How about that for a fun fact? It's true and yet he's getting more and more hype from fantasy football owners. The hype is well deserved and I do think he'll have more than 10 touchdowns this year, but it is a scary stat and one that makes you think twice before maybe taking him too high. None the less, he's the bread and butter of receivers. He can do it all. He's a deep threat that can go short and he's a speedy receiver than can be a possession receiver at the same time. In other words, he's the total package.
If you're in a league that deals with receptions then he might be worth ranking as the top overall receiver on your board. He's had over 100 receptions in two of the last three seasons and 60 receptions in nine games in 2007. That's a pretty good pace in the year in between his 100-catch seasons. He's in his prime and on a young offense that is full of talent. There is no doubt that he can play but a history of injuries is why I'm not inclined to rank him in my top two.
