St. Louis Rams

| The Rams need help in their LB corps as they currently have Will Witherspoon playing out of position at ILB. Connor is a tackling machine out of Penn St who is a tremendous value at #33. He is a high motor guy, but also a tremendous leader, more importantly he is a hitter that would fit very well into St Louis’s new and improved Defense with Chris Long in the fold. He is very similar to former teammate Paul Posluszny, but with more upside and speed, plus he absolutely lit it up at his Pro Day which I think solidifies him here as a definite late first/very early second round pick. This would be a nice day for St Louis and their Defense to come away with Chris Long and Dan Connor on Day One. |

Detroit Lions

| Brian Brohm is a QB who polarizes scouts, but I am of the opinion that he has nice promise. Some will argue that he is a system guy, while others think he is the next Jim Kelly. I personally think that he grades out less than a Brady Quinn as a QB (for comparison sakes) but still has real potential to be a nice NFL QB and after Flacco I have him as the next best QB. Atlanta cannot believe that the Harrington/Redman combo will equal a lot of wins, so an upgrade at QB is necessary. You are looking at a definite starter in the NFL who has a nice arm, a great pedigree and confidence. At one point he was considered the potential #1 pick, that was a long time ago, but he still might surprise many and be the best QB out of this class. |

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

| The Chiefs need a STARTING CB opposite Patrick Surtain after cutting Ty Law loose. Cason is a potential steal at this point in the draft and I think he can start right away. Cason has great ball skills and has great speed with the ability to take the pick to the house. A definite upgrade at CB and a nice pick at this point as some have this Thorpe winner labeled as a first rounder. |

Kansas City Chiefs

| Hardy has great value here for the Jets as many will argue that he is a potential 1st round talent. At a shade over 6’5 Hardy has nice speed and tremendous hands. As a Red Zone threat he is exceptional having caught 16 TD’s in his Senior campaign for a marginal Indiana team. This former Basketball player would be a nice addition to the Jets where they could use more size and Red Zone threats on Offense.

Washington Redskins

| Sam Baker falls on my board, and maybe he should have come out last year as he was a sure fire first rounder then. This is no knock on Baker though; he is a fighter and a nice OT prospect. He is tremendous in Pass Pro but also can get after it. I see him being a real nice Pro Player for years to come as he has all the tools one could want for a R OT. The Falcons, arguably, currently employ the worst O Line in football and need to upgrade that area as it is a huge priority. |

Cleveland Browns

| Justin King is a true talent, but is very raw. Coming out of high school he was one of the top DB’s in the nation and his measurables prove that. If he can be coached up well he could be a real talent in the NFL. King gets the nod because he is too talented to fall past the eyes of the Ravens who are desperate for CB help as Samari Rolle is nearing the end of his great career and CB depth in Baltimore leaves much to be desired (especially in that division where the QB/WR play is pretty impressive). A bit of a reach, but the reward may be worth the gamble. |

Oakland Raiders

| This is definitely a fall from grace for Manningham who probably believes he is a first rounder. With his 4.6 40 time at the Combine he certainly is not what he thinks he is, but he is still an extremely effective pass catcher. He has great body control, hands and decent speed. He did run faster at Michigan, but his off-the-field issues and his poor Combine will definitely net him second round status. San Francisco is a good place for him to land as he will be a 3rd-4th WR this year, but will be expected to be a 1-2 WR shortly.

San Diego Chargers

| Keller blew the doors off of the Combine and possibly distinguished himself as the top TE with his measurables. He can catch the ball and with his speed he can break away and could create mismatch nightmares for opposing Defensive Coordinators. To me his Combine showed he was the top TE in the class, and New Orleans needs to build up this position with an infusion of youth as Eric Johnson and Billy Miller will not be around forever. |

Buffalo Bills

| This would be a nice situation for Buffalo as I initially (prior to his no-show at the Combine and way before his disastrous Pro Day) had Malcolm Kelly going to them at #11 for 2 months. Kelly did not impress at his Pro Day posting bad 40 times, and revealing character concerns by blaming it on Oklahoma. However, he would be a nice addition to Buffalo as he has the size at 6’4 to be a great compliment to Lee Evans. A definite value grab at a position of need, I think the Bills would be wise to invest in more weapons, and namely a Red Zone threat, for Trent Edwards as he continues his progression. |

New England Patriots

| To me the biggest need in Denver is at DT. Trevor Laws may seem like a reach here, but I think he is a real nice prospect. Laws is a highly active DT who I think has great intangibles and is a high motor type player. Regardless of this being a reach or not, Denver needs to get a DT in round 2 as they don’t have a 3rd round pick and it is arguably their biggest area of need. |

Miami Dolphins

| The Panthers would be ecstatic to see Campbell fall this far. I think they considered DE in Round 1 with a player like Derrick Harvey and to find a 1st round talent like Campbell here would be a gift. As I mentioned before, he drops on my board because his strength is not enough and I don’t like how he plays down to his competition with his physical gifts. This is a definite need pick up and a good value for Detroit. At nearly 6’8 he is a physical specimen and can man down the DE spot opposite Julius Peppers in Carolina. He probably will go higher than this, but if not he won’t fall past Carolina. |

| Henne, in my opinion, is a starting NFL QB. He has a great track record against top level competition and delivers a very pretty ball. He has real nice touch and is a natural leader. Chicago NEEDS help at QB where they currently have Rex Grossman as their starter. I think Henne is a better prospect than Rex and will do a better job of managing the game. Because the QB position lacks a surplus in the NFL Henne is definitely worth the consideration in round 2 for a team that has a glaring need at QB. |

Denver Broncos

| Patrick Lee is an intriguing prospect to me as he has all of the measurables one would want in a CB as he is 6’, 200 lbs with a 40 in the 4.4 range. He also has pretty fluid hips, which are very important for a CB. I think he actually will be a better Pro once he maxes out his potential and I have him going to Detroit where they are absolutely desperate for an infusion of talent in their CB corps. |

New York Giants

| The Bengals need help all over the place on Defense. Curtis Lofton is a celebrated College player who can deliver the lumber as an effective 4-3 ILB. He is a reliable tackler and nice hitter who doesn’t stand out on paper, but with pads on is a big time player. The Bengals lack quality at ILB and could immediately upgrade with Lofton. |

Carolina Panthers

| Doucet falls on my board, but he is arguably another player who could easily find himself in the late 1st round mix. He is a well rounded WR who probably projects as a number two option in the Pro Game. He has decent speed, but excellent hands and can really move the chains. Minnesota has improved their WR group, but I think Doucet could compete for early time and be a nice WR. |

New England Patriots

| Fred Davis falls on my board as his Pro Day wasn’t as spectacular as one would hope. His post-college workout performances leave much to be desired, but when he was at USC he was a terrific TE who had a knack for finding the End Zone. For months he sat atop my TE rankings as the best in this class and I think he would be a great value for Atlanta in Round 2 where they don’t have an impact TE after parting ways with Alge Crumpler. A young QB’s best friend can be a TE who acts as a safety blanket; this makes even more sense for Atlanta who will likely be plugging in their new QB once they fall out of playoff contention (which will not take long). |
