| The Lions need help just about everywhere, so their new GM has the luxury of truly being able to select the best player available. At this point that is Moore. Moore is very athletic and has not yet fully reached his potential as a CB. He also plays smart and is able to bait QB's into thowing the ball where an opening appears to be. He is also a sound tackler. He doesn't appear to be as fast as some of the CB's that I have rated higher, but he's fast enough to play in what will eventually be a more physical Lions defense. Detroit will be a great fit for him. |

| With M. Vrabel gone the Patriots will now need a OLB opposite C. Sintim. I really like Barwin. He only played on defense his senior year, but he did such a great job. He had 11 sacks and showed the speed at the combine (4.66 40) he will need to project to OLB. He also showed a clear ability to bat down passes due to his time as a TE prior to his senior year and learning the timing of a QB. He also posted 16 TFL. He needs some work playing the run straight up against O-lineman, but he won't do as much of that in this defense. |

| T. Holt is now gone and it's going to take more than D. Avery to keep this team afloat in the passing game. Murphy wasn't the center of Florida's offense, but his catches almost always went for big plays. He caught at least one pass in every game last year, usually while displaying is 4.43 speed. He's also a decent run blocker, which will come in handy since he will have to block for S. Jackson often. |

| Everyone knows the Browns need at least one more talented CB. Mickens likely would have been a 1st round pick if he hadn't been injured last season. He's an instictive player who positions himself well and knows how to bait a QB. He has pretty good hands for bringing in INT's and he can tackle. He hasn't run the 40 yet obviously, but from what I've seen in games he looks fast enough to me! |

| W. Jones is not the dominant LT he once was. It's time the Seahawks started grooming his replacement. Beatty is a guy who's stock has risen since the Senior Bowl. He held his own against the nations best pass rushers. He also helped lead the way for the nations best running attack last season. He will fit well in St. Louis blocking for M. Hasselbeck. |

| Unger's main selling point is that he has experience performing well at both center and tackle and he could probably play guard also. Unger is very agile and light on his feet. He can get to the next level, pull and move laterally with any pass rusher. He also performs well enough in the run game to be a starter, but he could stand to be more physical and hold his ground better at the point of contact. |

| The Jags need a consistent downfield threat and Northcutt has not produced downfield like Del Rio had hoped. Del Rio likes big WR's and Wallace is as fast as he is big. Wallace didn't get many passes thrown his way at Ole Miss, but he made a lot of big plays when he did. He's in the 2nd round because he also dropped his fair share. However, he's big and runs decent routes, but he moves into the 2nd round due to his great 4.33 40 time at the Combine. |

| Davis gave T. Kelly a new contract a little too early it seems because the Raiders are still soft up the middle. Brace will sure up that problem and give the Raiders the best run stopping DT they've had since T. Washington. Brace doesn't have much in his toolbox for rushing the passer outside of his bull rush, but he's great at holding his ground and clogging up the middle, which is just what the doctor ordered for this defense. |

| Again, the Packers are going to a 3-4 and it's hard to hide a bad player in this defense. Everyone has to do their job fairly well to make it work. Johnson has the potential to be a very dangerous pash rusher. I say potential because he ran in the mid 4.7 range at the combine but he wasn't very productive from a sack standpoint relative to his speed. He was also very suspect defending the run when he had to face a O-lineman straight up. However, you can't teach speed and in Caper's 3-4 defense he can play in space at OLB where he can either rush the passer or chase ball carriers from behind instead of fighting O-linemen every play. |

| R. Royal is just an average TE so the Bills would be wise to take the best TE available in this draft since he's here. Pettigrew has proven to be just as good at run blocking as he is as catching the ball, which is something that is rare these days in college football with the spead offense being so popular. The only knock on Pettigrew is that he wasn't as productive from a receiving standpoint that teams would like to see before they invest so much into a TE. That's due to the fact that although Pettigrew has great size and amazing hands, he isn't all that fast. However, he still presents great value at this point in the draft. |

| The 49ers gave up more sacks than anyone last year. The interior linemen should take a lot of the blame for that, but good OT's are more valueable than good OG's and centers. They should start with upgrading the RT since they have J. Staley at LT. Meredith is another player with a lot of potential. He has all the physical tools he needs to be a very good RT or LT in the NFL and he proved that at the combine. He falls to the 2nd round because he ran hot and cold for the Gamecocks. Fortunately he was hot far mor often than he was cold and he seems equally adept and run blocking and pass protection. |

| T. Ginn, Jr. gives the Dolphins a speed option and Camarillo looks like a keeper, but they need much more depth at WR to go deeper into the playoffs. Nicks is only available here because he ran over a 4.5 40 at the combine. Nicks runs great routes, has solid hands and is a will run blocker. He'll make a fantastic red zone weapon and can work the middle of the field. The 'Fins will hope that fantastic highlight reel he put together in his final college bowl game is a hint of things to come. |

| The Giants have good starters all along their O-line but there is no depth. With Fulton's athletism I believe he could play LT, LG or possibly RG. He's a better pass protector than run blocker and he doesn't have the ideal height of a LT at 6'4", which is why he's available in the 2nd round. However, he has long arms and the frame to add more strength so I think he'd be a great value pick here. |

| The Texans would be happy to take the first safety in this draft if Chung is available. The Texans have needed to upgrade their safeties for years. Chung is a hard hitter and an excellent tackler. He actually led his team in tackles, which is hard to do for a safety. He also does a good enough job of defending the pass and showed he was fast enough to play in the NFL at the combine. He will definitely help the Texans become much stronger against the run. |

| The Patriots finally get the LB they wanted last year, only now due to a slower than expected 40 time at the combine (4.8) they get to pick him up with the 47th pick. Bruschi and Seau just can't play like they could before. Laurinaitis would be a great compliment to J. Mayo as he is a great tackler, whether it is taking on O-linemen and shedding blocks to chasing RB's. He also shows good hips and agility when turning and dropping into coverage along with reliable hands. |

| The 2nd safety comes off the board here as Johnson offers depth for what will be the oldest starting safety tandem in the league next year. Johnson's forte is pass coverage. He is truly a ball hawk, evidenced by his 19 pass breakups and 11 INT's over the past 2 years. He also is a fairly reliable tackler which is something the Broncos need in the middle. |
