Calais Campbell shouldn't fall this far, but if he does the Redskins would love to pick him up. He's got great size and power, and just manhandles linemen. Phillip Daniels isn't getting any younger and the Redskins could really use some help on the defensive line so this selection makes a lot of sense. The Skins might also be interested in taking a wide receiver here, but, like the Bucs, can address that need a little later.

The Cowboys' offense has been explosive this year, but it's top receivers are getting old and will soon be retiring. Kelly has good size and good speed to go along with it. He also has a dependable pair of hands and would really help add a dynamic presence and a big target to the receiving corps. The Cowboys could take a DB here or a running back, but there are a couple who can be taken with their later first round pick, so they'll probably take the second best receiver in this draft and help their already dynamic offense.

It looks like Alan Faneca and Max Starks will both be leaving after this season and so the Steelers will be looking for offensive linemen. This addition would allow Willie Colon to move inside to guard to replace Faneca and let Cherilus take over at right tackle. Cherilus is another guy who really helped himself at the Senior Bowl and has the makings of a great right tackle. He's got great size and athleticism and would really help the offense out. The Steelers definitely have to take a lineman here since their offense would really be hurt by taking such a big hit on the offensive line. With Big Ben liking to sit in the pocket, the offensive line is really a big part of their offense.

VY has had a huge sophomore slump, and one of the reasons for that is the lack of a good receiver. Sweed, another Texas alum, would make a great target for Young with his impressive size. He's been hurt most of this season, but he's got great size and good intangibles and would be able to provide an instant starter to the Titans' receiving corps. Eventually, he'd make a great possession receiver. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Titans take a corner here since there are a lot of young receivers on the Titans' roster who they may not want to give up on yet.

Rashard Mendenhall really stormed onto the scene this season, where he helped Illinois to a BCS bowl. Running back is one of the Seahawks' biggest needs since Shawn Alexander has shown the tread on his tires this year and it looks like he'll never be the player he once was. Mendenhall has good size and good enough speed to balance this offense out a little more. Also, TEs Fred Davis or John Carlson might be a good pickup here, and if Andre Woodson is able to salvage his draft stock, he might end up going here as well.

Earlier in the season I really thought the Jags would be taking a QB here, but David Garrard has shown that he can be a franchise quarterback. A new problem that the Jags are faced with is on the defensive line, where they don't really have a great defensive end and where Bobby McCray probably won't be next year. Phillip Merling has the potential to be a dominant all around end, and he's got a great motor. He's another guy who'll probably benefit from the scouting combine since he's very athletic. His addition would really help the Jags' defense out. Cornerback is another option here, and so is wide receiver.

Balmer enjoyed a breakout season this year, and will likely reap the rewards by being a first round pickup. He can play tackle in a 4-3 or end in a 3-4, and seeing how the Chargers have so little depth along their defensive line and so few needs to address, he'd be a perfect fit right here. Balmer has great size, strength, and is just a solid lineman. I could also see the Chargers trading down here since they don't pick again until very late or taking a receiver.

The Cowboys could really help their secondary with this selection. Reggie Smith projects more as a safety at the next level than a cornerback, and the Cowboys could use both. I think Smith is one of those guys who will really help himself at the scouting combine, and he's a great physical corner who has a lot of range. His versatility would allow him to help out in the nickel at cornerback, start at corner so Anthony Henry could move to safety, or take over the safety spot opposite Roy Williams. The Cowboys could also splurge with this pick and take a running back to compliment Marion Barber and help their already potent offense.

The 49ers made a terrible move getting rid of their first round pick, as all of their problems have shown themselves all year. One of the problems was the offensive line, which gave up 55 sacks this season. That problem, along with the rotating door policy with offensive coordinators, has led to Alex Smith's regression this season. Sam Baker can help alleviate some of the problems, as he's a great pass blocker. His stock has really dropped since the beginning of the season, but he's still a big lineman who is still a pretty good athlete. The Niners can easily address their wide receiver needs with the 39th pick, where a bunch of fringe first rounders will still be.

The Packers suffered a heartbreaking loss in the NFC title game, but they're going to be in a better position come draft time because of it. The Packers' corners are getting older, and so they've got to infuse some youth into their depth chart. Rodgers-Cromartie, cousin of San Diego Chargers corner Antonio Cromartie, was probably the best player in the Senior Bowl and is now a probable first rounder because of it. He's not really in the mold of the Packers' current corners, as he's not very big, isn't very physical, and doesn't offer much in run support, but he's a terrific, smooth athlete who is also a tremendous playmaker. He's great in coverage, has good ball handling skills, and would bring a lot to the table for the Packers.

The G-men did a lot better this year than expected, and because of it don't draft as high. That doesn't really matter to them because Ali Highsmith falls into their laps. Highsmith is a productive, athletic linebacker who is fast and aggressive. He's a great tackler with good range and leadership skills. Highsmith is a very active linebacker who helps out a lot with his pass rushing skills.
