They really, REALLY need to upgrade their WR core so the Dolphins are lucky one has finally fallen to them. Hardy was a guy I had to go back and research but he has soft hands and runs great routes. He has great size for the position, but taking into account the guys he faced in his conference I'm not sure how fast he really was. He answered that the combine with a 4.47 40. He looks to have all physical skills needed to be the go to WR in this offense.

With all the injuries the Rams went through last season they have shown they need more depth at OG to make it through a season. With the hype surrounding Albert I doubt he'll last much longer than this. Albert is another guy who has decided to enter the draft as a junior to take advantage of the fact that their isn't much available at his position. He was an aggresive lineman at Virginia which helped him to make 1st All-ACC this past season. He is heavy-footed but he is decent in pass protection. His stock has dropped a tad following a fairly average showing at the combine added to the fact that he's nothing special as a run blocker. He may also be able to serve as a backup at OT.

Everybody with a media outlet within the U.S. knows the Falcons need a QB. I've had Flacco here for a while, but the more I thought about it the more likely it seemed that Henne has a better chance to be a franchise QB, which is what Atlanta needs. I believe Henne is a better QB than many give him credit for. I'll admit that accuracy seems to be his weak point, as he's one of those guys who will throw an interception that makes you stop and scratch your head. However, the rest of his throws look so good and this guy is so smart and tough you want to believe he can get much better. He's a bit of a risk, but one that is worth taking. Picking up Henne will give Falcons fans hope for the future, as Henne has all the physical tools an NFL QB needs to be successful.

The Chiefs pick up Ty Law's eventual replacement with this pick. By this point, many teams either have addressed their secondary needs or have higher priorities which has worked in the favor of the Chiefs if Flowers is still available. Flowers didn't have the senior year some hoped he would, but since he's such a hard hitter he will be a great fit in the Chiefs' Cover 2. His timed speed is only average, but he's a sound tackler and reacts well when the ball is in the air. He understands the game and would be good value with this pick.

Now that the Jets finally have their NT in K. Jenkins they can address their need for a pass rushing OLB. Groves is a very fast DE who has the size and speed to make the transition to OLB. With his 4.57 40 speed and 30 bench reps, he has the physical tools to be successful in the NFL. His biggest problem at Auburn was that he was inconsistent, but when he played well he played very well. He'll supply what has proven to be T. Brady's kryptonite: an excellent pass rush.

**Pet Cat Alert** With D. Hall now gone the Falcons must pick up a CB who can come in and start from Game 1. Cason would make an excellent Cover 2 CB, but I'm not sure what type of defense the Falcons will use now. What I do know is that Cason would make an excellent addition to any defense as the Thorpe award winner. Cason is an instictive player who plays well in zone and breaks on the ball very quickly. He positions himself well before the ball is even snapped and keeps his hips low and knees bent. He also isn't afraid to step up and make a tackle. He would surely upgrade the CB position for the Falcons.

J. Ogden has told the Ravens brass to proceed this offseason like he won't be there next season. I'm sure he didn't have to tell them twice. Collins would fit great in Cam Cameron's system, as he is 6'6" and only weighs 308, but he is strong and physical. He averaged about 8 pancake blocks per game last season and Cameron truly believes in running the ball well. He's only a junior, but he seems to have the maturity to step in and be ready to start by game 1 of the regular season.

The 49ers don't have a good D-line and with B. Young retiring it's only going to get worse unless they address it this offseason. Campbell is now at the size and weight where he would be more productive in a 3-4 as an end than a 4-3, so he fits this defense well. Miami is known for their fast, tough defensive players and Campbell is no exception. He's solid against the run and often tackles guys behind the line of scrimmage. He's raw in his pass rushing moves, but he can still find his way to the QB. The DE tandem of Campbell and J. Smith will make for an excellent pash rush.

**Pet Cat Alert** The Saints are just average at DT and with many needs already addressed they can take the best available player in Laws. Laws played at DE in a 3-4 his senior year but still managed over 100 tackles and 4 sacks. He also showed during his week in Mobile that he can still wreak havoc as a 4-3 DT. He further proved himself by running a 5.08 40, benching 225 35 times and posting a 30.5" vertical leap. Laws will definitely upgrade this D-line.

The Bills are improving on offense but they need another playmaker across from L. Evans to help spread out the defense. Kelly has great size, hands and natural body control. He's still raw and doesn't have great speed which is why he will likely still be available at this spot. His 4.63 40 time at his 2nd pro day was still pretty slow, but it's good enough to warrant a selection with this pick. In any case, the Bills are big on this guy and will be happy he's still here in the 2nd round.

With I. Gold testing FA the aquisition of a good MLB will allow the Broncos to move D.J. Williams back to his more natural OLB position. I was hoping this guy would come out early and I think Denver will be too. Some LB's are fast, but are only effective when they have someone else take out the blockers and give him free reign of the ball carrier. Lofton isn't one of those guys. Shedding blocks is about technique and "want to" and Lofton has those as well as speed (4.64 40 at his pro day). He will be the biggest component in helping this team stop the run.

The Panthers efforts to sign A. Crumpler (along with the play of Gaines and King last season) show that the Panthers could use an upgrade at TE. Keller is an excellent pass catcher who is good at finding openings in the zone and looks comfortable pulling in the catch. He put on a clinic at the combine (4.53 40, 26 bench reps, 38" vertical, 10'11" broad jump) thus proving his status as the most dangerous TE available. He isn't much of a run blocker though and will have to add some weight to fully make the transition to an NFL TE.

The Bears signed Grossman to a 1 year deal, but they traded B. Griese to TB so they could use another QB on the roster. It wasn't against the greatest competition, but Flacco has shown scouts everything they need to see to demonstrate that he has what it takes to be successful in the NFL. The knock on Flacco is that he isn't much of vocal leader. People said the same thing about E. Manning. Flacco also didn't wow scouts in the Senior Bowl, but he made up for it with many stong, acccurate throws at the Combine.

With K. Edwards signing with Oakland the cupboard is virtually bare at DE for the Lions. I'm sure an ex-D. Line coach like Marinelli won't go into the season facing that reality and would be happy to pick Avril up here. Avril isn't much of a run stuffer, but Marinelli came from Tampa where S. Rice wasn't much of a run stuffer either but had success. Avril has outstanding speed off the edge and he put his athletism on display at the combine (4.51 40, 6.9 3-cone drill). He will need to get stronger against the run and will have to be developed quickly because the Lions need somone to start right away.

The Bengals missed out on Ellis and Dorsey, but Moore is a great fit this late in the draft. Moore is a great tackler and got 6 sacks this past season. He also did very well at the Combine, running a 4.88 40 at 305 lbs and lifting 31 reps of 225 lbs. His motor is his only negative, but M. Lewis seems to be taking a firmer hand with this team and will get him to play harder.

The Vikings needed a DE last year but it's safe to say they made excellent choices with the picks they made. AP is a star and S. Rice and looks to be a keeper. However, their receiving core still needs work. Doucet was injured for part of this season, but when he was healthy he showed why he is worthy of being selected here. He simply can't be covered 1-on-1 for long. He has great hands, speed and leaping ability. He ran a ho-hum time of 4.58 at his pro day, but according to reports he looked great catching the ball. He could be the big tough possesion WR that every good West Coast offense needs.
